later u can get upgrade to higher model like GTX 470M and GTX 485M.....for 15 inches i guess really a GTX 485M would be pretty enough
well NP 7280 is costing me around 10700RM but the thing is i have small laptop and iPad for using side works, cuz u not gonna really move NP7280 cuz its heavy and its only good for games !!! but it is really noisy laptop under heavy load...mabey later i gonna upgrade to GTX485M SLI but its not worth yet cuz the perfermence of 6970M Cross is same also, ups and down less or more also....

He ordered it from Mucro (Singapore) and I believe Mucro doesn't have such system to notify the buyer of the latest order status.

It is unlike us who ordered from U.S and other countries' resellers. I ordered from Xotic PC, my order just entered phase 2 yesterday and it said clearly 10 to 15 business days to construct the laptop and go for QA testing before goes into the next phase (shipping). When they start to ship our laptops from U.S, we receive shipment tracking number and we need to track online by ourselves.

As for them who purchased from Mucro or Cubehub (SG), I don't think the reseller updates them on their order status and also the resellers are the one who keep track of the shipment, so basically for the buyers, they just wait wait wait...

Of course the drawback for those of us who ordered from U.S. is that if anything goes wrong, we need to ship it back to U.S. on our own and bear the shipping cost. As for those who purchased from Mucro or CubeHub, as long as they include the local warranty package (pay extra) offered by either of them, then they don't have to ship all the way back to U.S. But, if they didn't include the local warranty package when buying from Mucro/CubeHub, it is just as good as us who are buying from U.S resellers, perhaps only cheaper by MYR 100 to 200 lol

i did not change anything during my order.

they just give me an option which is 10% first , 90% later when stock arrives.

now they blame that im paying only deposit which causes the delay.

Thanks for your input again! Really appreciate it. Maybe I'm going with Mucro.Asia but I'm not sure yet cause IF I wanted to build according to my specs, it'll be more expensive (including shipping) but if from Xoticpc, I don't need to worry about shipping since my cousin is coming back from the states this July. The advantage is that it'll be cheaper compared to Mucro.Asia BUT the main downside is the warranty issue. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the laptop won't give any issue. (Currently using Asus X61 Series and haven't encountered any issues for nearly 3 years I guess)

Only one thing bothers me though, is there any news about upcoming cpu/gpu yet? Lol. It's like I'm planning so early. I'm gonna place an order maybe this June Just wanna be ready and thus, posting in this forum, it'll help a lot

Do you think the laptop will serve me well for maybe 3~4 years?

Yeah I know it's too early, but well, when the newer CPU/GPU hits the market, I'm sure it'll be expensive

So that's why I've been lurking in the forum, config stuffs at xoticpc etc. Just wanna get ready with how much I should have to spend on this and that.

But well I think, getting the N8150-S1 with i7 2720QM will definitely worh it in the long run. Mostly I'm just gonna play online game like League of Legends.

Anyways, thanks for the info about the new GPU Will definitely consider that when the time comes.

Won't be getting those 17" ones cause it won't be that portable for me. So I prefer the 15" ones. Tempted to get the NP7280 but it's big..

For now, I'll just lurk in this thread. Definitely will be getting Sager for sure (first choice was Asus, but then poisoned by Sager due to their effective cooling)

anyway the 8170 share the same kboard as 8150/8130, some people may not like the extra space left on the sides of the laptop
only noticeable diff on the exterior are the finishing and the screen size gua
