I tried nationite in Gumstick. Works like a charm but bass sounds different.

Hey guys,

I've got a little noobish problem here.

Following the manuals, we have to hold the Play button(>||) to shutdown the device.

my problem is it just shows a "Bye Bye" message and then it got stucked there. Is this normal to you guys? I'm afraid it's still on and it'll keep eating up the batteries.

icon_question.gif How do i shut it down like completely blackout, no LED lights at all?  icon_question.gif

Find a paper clip and push the reset button.

can this player plays 44100 hz and 500++,600++,700++ kbps flac file?
*
If it isn't in a terribly high compression (level 6 and above), it'll play any 16-bit FLAC.

hey guys...can find me any review bout comparison btw cube c30 vs gumstick ?
so lazy to search... tongue.gif

I've compared them. Without BBE they both sounded exactly the same, even volume wise.
Can't say how they fare against harder to driver headphones/earphones though.

Didn't get a chance to test my SR60i with the C30 or Gumstick. sad.gif
It actually needs a fair bit more volume on a DAP to reach decent listening levels.

I think if you already have an IEM, get the C30.
The Gumstick is good for people who are starting out because it is bundled with a good choice of IEMs.
I have compared both, and I absolutely cannot tell them apart.

IINM, 16-bit and not overly compressed is the max on C30. Not sure about the limit of sample rate..
*
FLAC compression over 6 can sometimes be problematic.
16-bit is the max, and IIRC I did try 96kHz, no problems.

I have had X19HD for a while now. It isn't an upgrade for C30 so save your money for something else.
*
Is it a good "side-grade" to a.....say, T51?
Mine is dying on me...well at least half of it. The left side channel is acting up. laugh.gif I think it's the HO port.
When it dies, the bass performance will be sorely missed. sleep.gif

QUOTE(ClieOS @ Dec 19 2011, 10:52 AM)
Side-grade? more like a significant downgrade actually. Even C30 is not quite as good as T51 and C30 is better than X19HD in most areas, except perhaps bass boost since X19HD has hardware bass boost. I was personally hoping X19HD could be better than C30 but I am quite disappointed. If you can get X19HD under US$30 than it is still a decent deal. But if I have the choice between C30 and X19HD, I'll pick C30 every times. To sum it up, there is nothing particularly special or great about X19HD.
*
Hmmmmm......well, for the fun of it I'll take the X19HD anyway. laugh.gif Besides it's capacity is just perfect as I don't need to buy a uSD card (not like it can expand its memory) and just enough for the songs I listen to most (although I do need to convert most to at least 256kbps mp3 for them to fit), saves me quite a lot in the end. I read in head-fi about your comment, saying that X19HD is more compressed. I think I'll just have to live with that for a while until I can comfortably get myself a real audiophile music player....and hope that I haven't trained my ears too good for me to detect it. tongue.gif

BTW how much bass boost does the X19HD give? May be handy for my SR60i......and Atrio (just kidding laugh.gif )

You mean the digizoid ZO? Not a bad thing. Of course I do not have such high expectations from such a small device.

You've got a lemon.
It's kinda disappointing how Cube is doing poorly with keeping up the consistency of quality of their products. Hippo fares better in this regard.

i think i will get myself a hisound audio Rocoo-p later on smile.gif

Yeah I had my Cube for I think about 2 weeks before I sold it. It was very solid dude. Reminded me of a Nokia 3310. laugh.gif
I had the Gumstick for over a year and it was flawless. Requires a bit of learning and getting used to. Yeah it isn't as user friendly as the more established players, but it gets the job done.

Hey, does anyone knows why cube c30 can't play SOME FLAC files music?
Just got it this week... but some files cant play.... but I can play it on computer, so the file shouldn't have any problem...
*
Compression too high. I had that problem once. Try reducing the compression level, to 6 and lower.
