Hi guys,

I was chatting with a friend of mine which is a lawyer, showed him around the car and did a quick inspection. He noticed that the manufactured date of my tired are year 2010, which is not suppose to be. He suspected that Honda had secretly changed the tires. If this is true, we can sue Honda over this and easily win the battle.

Well ofcourse I did google up and turn out to be true. If you take a look on the DOT manufacture code on the tire, there should be 4 digits as like mine on below. Mine showed 5010. The first two digits are the week of the year (50 = the 50th week). The third and fourth digits are the year (10 = 2010).

I've check checked my garan and confirm it's a Buatan 2011 (Manufactured in 2011). No part should be changed as in CBU unit from Japan, right? unless Japan cheated us.

Can you guys figure this out and check your tire as well? My agent on maternity leave at the moment. I'm gonna raise this concern on my 1st service this coming Saturday.

Just got my white insight, doing 3M tint crystalline in starblaze now.  The auto stop is very annoying.  Mileage is 12km.
*
Your 3M tint costs you how much?

The windows is actually with heat rejection one, u can compare with Honda City side by side, Honda Insight is slightly darker.
*
Anyone check with your SA about the heat rejection of original windows?

For those who have tinted your car, do you feel the different?
If no, then it should have some degree of heat rejection already.

V-kool might be best among them, but not against 3M truly...

Seriously sometimes those people need to study about what's behind 3M.

Seems like everybody is going for 3M instead of vkool. How much price different between these 2 brands?

Just to share with you guys some feedbacks on the fuel consumtion for Honda Insight after driving this car for one week.
So far, the milage i've managed to clock is around 470km and the remaining fuel should be able to clock around 160 km as per range shown in the system.
I have been driving in proportions roughly 80% city and 20% highway with ECON mode turned on.
My driving speed is usually <100kmph and sometimes would carry 1-2 passengers along.

Seems like it is impossible to clock above 20km/l unless you have been driving this car consistently 100kmph at the highways with ECON mode.
Otherwise, the fuel consumption for Insight driving in the city would be more or less the same like any other 1.3-1.5litre petrol cars.

About the same "result" for me as well - but if you clocked more than 5000km - 19km/l to 21km/l will be acheivable . Other Insight owner, please correct me if I'm wrong. rolleyes.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

Fuel type : RON 95

just clocked 210km, MFD shows can go another 775km. 80% highway, 20% city, econ mode on.

I done my tint, 3M crystalline, for smart tag, i ask them cut a small hole, size like a cigarette box. smart tag OK. I dont like the idea of putting another tint on the top and crystalline on the lower part.

so far this 3M is very much better than the piece of shit rikecool. my other car with rikecool once i turn off engine the heat immediately comes up, so far this 3M crystalline after turn off engine inside cabin still very cool.

oh ya..forgot to mention..mine was with Esso RON 97 biggrin.gif
Not sure if I have remembered correctly, someone in this forum actually mentions that the spare fuel would have approximately 8 litre after the range displayed on the MID turns 0.
anyone can help to confirm on this one?

The fuel consumption is getting better for mine. Before this i get 16.5km/l for city driving during my 1st week driving, now i am getting 18-18.5km/l in city driving clock almost 2000km. Mostly ECON off, as the car like not enough power with ECON to accelerate in city. biggrin.gif

Others? Mind sharing?

A lot of traffic jam? If it is then it is very hard to achieve.
