Week 7 of 2011 means this week starting 14 feb 2011 onwards la bro..

i'm not sure why PR1.1 update is slow, i think there is some to do with the product code, cos product code isn't only to specific different region, its also carry different language set

just my point of view

If the different language set you are refer to, how come in Malaysia alone there is few product code stated example one set of non alphanumeric based and other with alphanumeric sets. Are they for same country use ? Example for ONLY FOR MALAYSIA CONSUMERS !!!! If that is case the language set must be the same...

My view is the Nokia Software Division are doing in stages in implementing or uploading their server .. That why we are not getting the PR1.1 same goes with rest of the country..

I have been considering to change my phone ... I bought the N8 over my Iphone. Even though the N8 is good, i did not realize that I wont be able to browse the net etc well enough to consider this a smart phone. I love the camera, but this would be my last week to consider if this is the right phone for me. If it is, I will use it for a while more, if its not, Basically I will keep it until SE Xperia play releases and get that device. I always wanted an Android device as well.

weird.. even same product code that problem to update.. my phone
can update on the day new firmware released.

Guys, need your help, I just received my N8 yesterday night, everything works fine, some more it even updated to PR1.1.
but good everything doesn't always end in a good way, I've found that inside my Social, there's no community for me to join, no Facebook & no Twitter. The list is empty. Same for my WebTV, there no channel for me, I go to OVI store and only found several crappy channel which I don't want. Can anyone help me with these 2 problem?
BTW, since I'm a noob for N8, any good suggestion for widget or application that is a must?

I would say it's your fault for not doing studies before buying your phone. There's tonnes of website that had done reviews on this, and tonnes of complaints on the browser as opposed to other mobile phones. If you buy this phone and expect it to be good in internet browsing, your mistake pal.

I bought this phone because of the phone functions, camera (main point), ovi maps, fm transmitter, and the ability to upload photos directly. So far they delivers (well, they do have problems with MY fm transmitter earlier, but its resolved). And so far I'm happy to use N8, alongside my 'mini tablet' Samsung Galaxy S.

trust me. the webtv are no use. lol. and for the community.. try press the option, add social network?

btw must have apps is of coz opera mobile and youtube first, and oso freesigner, pixelpipe, gravity.

games, there are plenty. angry birds, and a whole bunch of other gameloft games.

me too...got ipad as browsing,gaming, etc while n8 is spare device for browsing

I mostly surf through PC or Notebook, I dont use much browsing in N8, I only use mainly camera, sms, phone calls, and major part playing games during my free time..

how much would u guys think of selling second hand n8 phone?

i dont know why got few product code for one country, it seem like all the country also having few product code, only part of it get update
and i also been thinking why same country need few product code?

well to be honest, N8 is not a best browsing machine, and the BEST browsing machine will never be on a mobile phone which only a tiny screen, the BEST of N8 is its camera!! thats for me lah

First things first this is NOT a blame game. I did my studies but I got the phone during the first week so i guess my research online was not good enough. Well like I said, yeah I am going for a better device. Love the camera, love ovi maps.. thats it... everything else is lackluster. Even getting updates takes forever.

Dude, first things first, understand, I used to defend this phone against a lot Ifags and Droidboys so don't come here and run your mouth saying its my fault. I am just telling the truth and giving my opinion. You don't be so sensitive.

I dint blame anyone. I just pointed out its the responsibility for buyers to study the weaknesses of the products before buying it. Even on first week, theres tonnes of reviews. Heck, theres even sites that offers PREVIEWS.

I dont bother to even defend the phone against iFags and androidlovers. The experience is totally different.

ok tat's very weird. At the meantime u can try snaptu. Its a good replacement for social network.
