QUOTE(Harddisk @ Apr 18 2011, 01:35 AM) Bro, poison not working la. Got better shot? The articulation of the MKII2.0 isn't as mindblowing as people think it is. It's probably the best during its time (2005!) but many other MGs have already surpassed it in terms of posability. The main problem with the MKII2.0 would be its joints where the plastic tends to wear down quicker than newer MGs - my MKII's palms and wrist joints are already floppy. The shoulder joints don't swing forward enough hence the bulky shoulder armours tend to get obstructed by the torso. The bazooka is also puny compared to the RX78 2.0's. The colours looked bad, especially viewed from my spoiling monitor, lol. Would have bought it long ago if I want to, just that knowing my PG is still ... not completed yet, so I tell myself, don't buy. But I always trying to poison my friend to get this 1, cause I wanna see how good the articulation was. As for colours - I personally prefer the Titans version but if you're going to use stickers instead of purchasing waterslides, bear in mind that most of the light-coloured (white, grey, yellow, even red) stickers tend to be overwhelmed by the dark blue armour pieces. You'll have no problem with the AEUG version's white armour. The service deck display stand is a nice addition but not something to be excited about, given that you can only pose the MKII in a standing-straight-up position rather than fancy battle poses. The Zeta's launchpad would be a better choice, or just buy an action base. Or DIY your own hanger-wire stand. My favourite pose for the MKII : » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(MyKy44 @ Apr 18 2011, 09:16 AM) fodder = legend![]() This post has been edited by StarGhazzer: Apr 18 2011, 04:25 PM |

Guys, I have a problem. I'm planning to redisplay my gundam after long time of rearrangement of my room. But then by the time i want to place those model, they are full of dust. I would like to "rinse" them by just dipping into the water and let it dry by itself for entire afternoon. Question is, will my line drawing be destroyed if I let it dipped for entire night?

Get an old makeup brush from mum/sister/cousin/girlfriend and sweep the dust off your kits. It works better than dry tissue paper and the bristles can get into tight spaces eg joints/between armour pieces. ![]() This post has been edited by StarGhazzer: Apr 18 2011, 04:30 PM |

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Apr 18 2011, 01:35 AM) Bro, poison not working la. Got better shot? The colours looked bad, especially viewed from my spoiling monitor, lol. You know why the colors are bad? Because it's the AEUG version. Tasteful people go for Titans version. ![]() QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Apr 18 2011, 04:18 PM) The articulation of the MKII2.0 isn't as mindblowing as people think it is. Loose joints seem to be a common issue for almost all older MGs so i wouldn't blame MK-II alone. Although i agree that the articulation is not mindblowing and the bazooka is out of scale, i disagree that many other newer MGs have surpassed it in terms of poseability. Only a handful have surpassed it. Why do i say so? (=) Head: standard articulation except that it's slightly restricted when you attach the head vulcan pod. (-) Shoulders: like you've said. Not good enough. (=) Arms: the hands can touch its own shoulders. On par with recent ones. (+) Wrists: a good 180 degrees swing from left to right. Not many MGs can do this. (+) Upper torso: can do side crunches. Only a small amount can do that, namely 00Q, Exia, ABF2L and ARF. (+) Waist: a good 360 degrees. Only some recent MGs can do that, but that's because of their design (transformation: Wing TV & ReZEL). (+) Legs: can crouch on one knee without looking awkward. The latest MG that can do that is RX-78-2 2.0 (and its variations). I didn't count MG Exia, GN-X, 00Q, ARF and ABF2L because these Gundams don't have front waist armors, hence their crouching abilities are not questioned. MG Musha MK-II also doesn't count because it uses the same frame as RX-178 MK-II 2.0. (=) Ankles and feet: standard articulation. That's why i still think its articulation is pretty good even by today's standards. Hope the above information is useful to people who are considering on picking up MK-II 2.0. I still remember the uproar back then when people realized the MK-II AEUG 2.0 doesn't have waist articulation when they tried the boxart pose. It's good that Bandai made the necessary changes for the Titans version and the later batches of the AEUG version. Kudos.
