I kinda like what they did to the RG.
Narrower body, higher shoulders, beefier forearms, less exposed elbow joints, and better looking feet. But overall, PG is still better to me.

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Apr 5 2011, 02:24 PM) I'd rather Bandai spend their technology on making a kit more accurate to the lineart, more intricate designs, and more flexible articulation without sacrificing sturdiness. Flexibility and sturdiness don't go hand in hand. And the only way a kit would be accurate to the lineart is when the lineart is based on the kit. I'm not sure if i'd be happy then. QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Apr 5 2011, 07:22 PM) 15,000yen for PG SF. That's roughly RM550 excluding shipping. Pretty good deal. QUOTE(mambangafro @ Apr 5 2011, 10:11 PM) If a Gundam that looks like a tank is called a Guntank, why isn't a Zaku one called a Zatank? QUOTE(nazrul90 @ Apr 6 2011, 08:42 PM) See properly. QUOTE(kumanosuke @ Apr 6 2011, 10:12 PM) RM120. And you can sell it to me. |

QUOTE(MyKy44 @ Apr 8 2011, 12:37 PM) I'm sure anyone who walks into a McD will not be happy when they're served a Whopper instead of a Big Mac. QUOTE(Harddisk @ Apr 8 2011, 11:54 PM) Come to think of it, it's fine for not having screw thread, cause they can't be made during injection. Usually screw thread is post production kinda thing. Imagine so many units of MG Strike to make threads of... Threads on plastic is useless anyway. The screw will go through it when force is applied. |

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Apr 10 2011, 02:19 AM) Yeah, it seems to be like a missing part. Aren't these sample units should be correctly assembled? How about that piece of blue behind the white fin huh? Can the original blue piece be stuck behind there? I'm guessing you don't own any Wing Gundams at all? ![]() The exhibition staff directly assembled the parts D8(D9) and A20(A19) into the head, without first slotting the former into the latter. That's what he did wrong, and that's why it looked like that. Yes, sample units are supposed to be correctly assembled but humans do make mistakes. I remember seeing exhibition photos of MG Turn A's shoulder armors assembled backwards (beam sabers facing the front) and even HG 00R (Condenser Type)'s GN Sword III assembled upside down. It happens. QUOTE(cloudaeris @ Apr 10 2011, 09:22 AM) maybe the led units for gn drive n condenser r interswapable, n the other 2 r for the oraiser happy cause of the better n cooler gimmicks, sad cause i thought i'd be buying oni 2 extra led, now it becomes 4 notice there's an empty space in the wings of oraiser, for led unit maybe? I would personally prefer the LEDs to be at the 0 Raiser as compared to them being at the GN Condenser Tanks. But either way, i won't be picking up MG 00R as i'll wait for MG 007S. |

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Apr 10 2011, 08:45 PM) Oh ya, on a sidenote, I gave up on MG Freedom and bought the MG WGZC instead last time. And a bit disappointed to find that the inner frame was almost (exactly?) the same as Wing ver Ka. WZC was the sole reason why i got into GunPla. I don't really mind that they share the same frame because both Gundams are identical except for the backpack and the forearms. Besides, it's a good frame, so i'm not complaining. QUOTE(Silverfire @ Apr 11 2011, 06:33 PM) Tomorrow, when i post my mini-review of MG DSH EW. QUOTE(Rowan @ Apr 11 2011, 09:26 PM) Not really disappointed with the colors, but rather the construction and sturdiness of the model. It's like a 4500yen HG! |

MG Xbone FC is a rather bad kit. Putting heavy armors and weapons on a small-sized MG with a weak frame is a bad idea. Ver Ka would be a better choice. |

QUOTE(nazrul90 @ Apr 12 2011, 05:09 PM) that thread most likely dead already.. it would be better if mod/staff merge the thread with this one We have a show-off thread here but no one uses it. What we need is a toy review thread. It can be both a WIP thread or even a show-off thread but the only criteria it must have is a short review of the shown item. I think it works better that way. QUOTE(MyKy44 @ Apr 12 2011, 05:19 PM) i think posting pictures of some funny/bad ass poses is ok wit me la. i could use some LOL pics using gunplas every now and then hahahaha. QUOTE(MyKy44 @ Apr 12 2011, 06:25 PM) Love parody's post. worth the anticipation the off-proportion is very obvious when placed side by side with WZC.. Glad you loved it. Katoki should really stop screwing the EW designs... QUOTE(Silverfire @ Apr 12 2011, 07:15 PM) Thanks. Yeah, there's only one beam scythe (or beam scissor if you prefer). There's also the head vulcans like nazrul90 mentioned, and who can forget the self-detonation feature that can also be used as a weapon? Boy, they sure love to do that! |

QUOTE(Exiled_Gundam @ Apr 12 2011, 08:49 PM) Yup, that's possible, although it looks really weird as it extends all the way up to the shoulders. QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Apr 12 2011, 09:24 PM) Awesome review. And yes, the Deathscythe and DHC MGs both have weirdass proportions. Based on your picture, the WZC is much better although its neck is way too short. Katoki's designs often have extremely long legs and tiny torsos - Unicorn and Sinanju suffer the same flaws but they are not as obvious as the two Deathscythes. Good thing that MG Shenlong retains the bulk and has better proportions. Yes, WZC totally needs a neck. The shoulder gatling gun hatches can't even open now. As for ShenLong, the design still looks weird to me. I prefer my version better. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Apr 12 2011, 09:24 PM) And naming of the weapons? Beam scissors sounds really stupid but misnomers are common in gundam weapons - Gelgoog's beam naginata is a dual edged beam sabre rather than an orthodox polearm that a naginata is. Dom's heat sabre is more of a rod, while Epyon/TGIII's heat rod is actually a whip. The RX78's hammer is not exactly wrong though. It refers to the hammer used in athletic hammer throw rather than an actual medieval warhammer, but the Gundam's version comes with spikes on the ball like a flail/morning star. Note that the ancient Chinese weapon 流星锤 or meteor hammer is also similiar to the Gundam's hammer, only with two heads. And Chinese war hammers often have round heads rather than the European hammer's flathead. /geektalk Very knowledgeable. Thanks for the clarification QUOTE(Harddisk @ Apr 12 2011, 10:12 PM) Nope, didn't forget. If you see Dalong's review, he is also experiencing the same problem. He placed the cloak very close to each other without hooking the claws together. It does hook up if you try your best, but i ain't gonna leave that overnight and see it broken in the next morning. |

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Apr 13 2011, 01:22 AM) Hmm... that's odd. Check out either of these videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_USiCx59myA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2ELzCZZI-E He does have difficulty hooking it at first, but later realised he didn't collapse the rear part of the wing. And he managed to slide it in quite easily. If both the video don't have it, maybe you can check for his earlier video, which he tried on his unpainted kit first. I'm not saying that it can't be hooked up. It can. The cloak in its relaxed position has a 2-3mm gap. When you hook it up, you could feel there's a force trying to separate the cloak. Think of a guy with 31-inch waist in 30-inch pants. What would happen to the hook on the pants? His kit was painted, so i wouldn't be surprised if he sanded down the parts a bit. He didn't even slide the hook up like in the manual. He just forcefully pushed them together from the sides! LOL. Look at how his red claws overlapping each other after he hooks them up. Something is seriously wrong there. I'll try to edit my review so it doesn't mislead people into thinking they can't connect. QUOTE(hyzam1212 @ Apr 13 2011, 08:56 AM) So guys new topic, just curious...what is the best looking core fighter in the world of gundam? I just finished snap fitting and panel lining my mg GP03S core fighter (only) and in terms of appearance its kinda look like F16 jet fighter which is very realistic, good proportion and nice to see compared to others especially the famous RX-78 The one from RX-99 or the one from Arche Gundam.
