Bro, poison not working la. Got better shot?

The colours looked bad, especially viewed from my spoiling monitor, lol.
*

You know why the colors are bad? Because it's the AEUG version. Tasteful people go for Titans version. tongue.gif

The articulation of the MKII2.0 isn't as mindblowing as people think it is. It's probably the best during its time (2005!) but many other MGs have already surpassed it in terms of posability. The main problem with the MKII2.0 would be its joints where the plastic tends to wear down quicker than newer MGs - my MKII's palms and wrist joints are already floppy. The shoulder joints don't swing forward enough hence the bulky shoulder armours tend to get obstructed by the torso. The bazooka is also puny compared to the RX78 2.0's.
*

Loose joints seem to be a common issue for almost all older MGs so i wouldn't blame MK-II alone.

Although i agree that the articulation is not mindblowing and the bazooka is out of scale, i disagree that many other newer MGs have surpassed it in terms of poseability. Only a handful have surpassed it. Why do i say so?

(=) Head: standard articulation except that it's slightly restricted when you attach the head vulcan pod.
(-) Shoulders: like you've said. Not good enough.
(=) Arms: the hands can touch its own shoulders. On par with recent ones.
(+) Wrists: a good 180 degrees swing from left to right. Not many MGs can do this.
(+) Upper torso: can do side crunches. Only a small amount can do that, namely 00Q, Exia, ABF2L and ARF.
(+) Waist: a good 360 degrees. Only some recent MGs can do that, but that's because of their design (transformation: Wing TV & ReZEL).
(+) Legs: can crouch on one knee without looking awkward. The latest MG that can do that is RX-78-2 2.0 (and its variations). I didn't count MG Exia, GN-X, 00Q, ARF and ABF2L because these Gundams don't have front waist armors, hence their crouching abilities are not questioned. MG Musha MK-II also doesn't count because it uses the same frame as RX-178 MK-II 2.0.
(=) Ankles and feet: standard articulation.

That's why i still think its articulation is pretty good even by today's standards. Hope the above information is useful to people who are considering on picking up MK-II 2.0.

I still remember the uproar back then when people realized the MK-II AEUG 2.0 doesn't have waist articulation when they tried the boxart pose. It's good that Bandai made the necessary changes for the Titans version and the later batches of the AEUG version. Kudos.

Hmm I thought MkII ver 2.0 AEUG version (the one with base) has less hip articulation compared to its Titan counterpart?

Many MGs released after the first two 2.0s (MKII/Zeta) have 180-degree swinging wrists, so it's not something unique to the MKII. And also, many new MGs can so upper torso side crunches - heck even the RX78 2.0 can do it with the corefighter in situ.

The MKII's waist can't go a full 360 as it gets obstructed by the top of the rear skirt. Not a huge problem given that nobody poses their gunpla with the waist rotated more than 90 (or even 45) degrees anyway. MKII can't do a full crouch like the Zaku 2.0 either, and by full crouch I mean knee in close proximity to the chest; not the standard bazooka-launching kneeling-on-one-knee pose.

The head vulcan pod always reminds me of gundam-wearing headphones. Funky.
*

About the wrists, i would say 50:50. Not all can go the full 180 degrees. Like ShenLong, Deathscythe, D-Hell, Wing TV, Unicorn, Sinanju, The O, Gelgoog 2.0, ReZEL, ReZEL C, V, V Dash, Strike Noir, Strike E, Turn A, Gouf 2.0, and all the Zaku II 2.0 variations.

Yes, the RX-78-2 2.0 could do side crunches as well, but my point is not many MGs can do that. Since MK-II's release, i would say less than 5 or 6 can.

MK-II's waist can actually go a full 360 degrees. The grey part of the waist could actually be lifted up slightly so that it doesn't get blocked by the rear skirt armor when you turn the upper body. Although i wouldn't suggest you do this if you've painted it because the upper torso would be resting on the rear skirt armor and might chip paints. sweat.gif

Zaku II 2.0's crouch is cheating. It moves the skirt armors away to the back to do that. No other MGs can do that. Heck, even the other versions of the Zaku II 2.0 can't do that! Isn't it a little unfair to give MK-II a death sentence for that? laugh.gif

But after all that debate, MK-II 2.0 is still a good kit. For the (whatever) amount of MGs that have surpassed it in articulation, it's a good thing because it shows that GunPla is improving. But for Gundams with huge backpacks or weapons, that flexibility would actually be a disadvantage. Case in point: MG ABF2L, 00Q and possibly 00R. I tremble thinking about them. sad.gif

It's scratched? You could try using acrylic-based floor polish.

Around RM750 without the stand. PG RX-78-2 should be the cheapest one.

Bootleg plastic kit. Head over to the pirated Gundam thread for more information.

After LYN enforced the No Piracy thing on Street Mart, the pirated Gundam thread had become a place for them to sell their knock-offs. sweat.gif

u win all lor. i mmg mata sepet ma. what i meant is it's not ori kit anyway so shouldn't belong here ma. i didn't mean to say only bandai stuffs belong to this tered actually, maybe the initial post wrongly reflected it lor.
i ady see the ascentic's post in tht link earlier, mmg awsm, looking forward more to his post of it in that thread. so if u still wanna pick on my sepet eyes then sorry lor. but what i know is this thread supposed to include only original kits, so kits like from gundam to SRW to MG Figurize is still ok i think.

But if Mc'Model is also considered as original kit then i'm sorry lor i didn't know they got the lesen from bandai/sunrise to produce it lor.
*

He was directing that at ascentic, in support of you.

Zeta?

PG Zeta is a really lame kit. I'd go for PG Strike or Mk-II. Or pour in a bit more and get PG ARF. wink.gif

It's just 4-5 hours. Just don't assemble the redundant Tactical Arms. Bandai put it there solely to milk MG ABF2L's mould.

I still can't accept the various forms of the Tactical Arms. Pure absurdity. doh.gif

B-club's resin kits are official stuff though.

As for those resin conversion/garage kit kits, I am really not sure what's Bandai's POV on those.
*

Well, B-Club is a Bandai subsidiary. For all other conversion kits, Bandai don't really care much about them because you'll still need to buy Bandai's Gundam to use those parts. What really bugs Bandai are those unauthorized plastic kits.

QUOTE(lucasng89 @ Apr 21 2011, 02:30 AM)
Guys, which Sinanju's Bazooka better? TTHongli or Resin type?
*

The original one that came with the manga is the best. Resin if you got the skills to manage it. The bootleg version has parts dropping here and there and pieces that don't fit together.

QUOTE(rihuhs @ Apr 21 2011, 12:23 PM)
I agreed.. btw Macross models/kits got their own thread right? biggrin.gif
*

Which was why i came up with a list of model kit threads on the first page. Anything which doesn't fall into one of the categories mentioned can be discussed here.
