social update u need to get inside the software update to check one wor, not the firmware screen... u try that and see first

@stimix: i see.. same as last time lor, i had to flash my N81 to SG product code to get v21 update, and only 2 months later that it came out for malaysia

Updated to PR1.1 via Ovi Suite...

So i can confirm that:
* Web updated to 7.2.8.10
* Quickoffice updated to 6.4.166, editing functions now enabled on the N8 (i.e. don't have to pay to upgrade), improved zooming functions
* Adobe Reader updated to 2.5.653
* Dialler now works in landscape mode

Regarding the UI response time is better or not, i can't tell because haven't hard reset my N8 before update..psychologically, i feel more smoother brows.gif

btw, sklchan mod not working after update, so waiting sklchan to check...

bro already use all 4 medium...over PC ovisuite, software update and via phone software update all fail lor..done it long2x time ago...I check it once received info from allaboutsymbian blog and dailymobile....now already download the external firmwave apac1_or_malaysia version but dunno want to continue or not...haiya nokia so slow...

if you scared void then better don lar, but it's the product code can easily flash back one actually...when MY PR1.1 come out just flash back to that one lor.. although if anything happen before MY PR1.1 come out u will be stuck with SG firmware, haha

there are over hundreds variants of the N8 firmware from Nokia. How can u expect them to launch all variants of it togeter? Need time to upload it to server and make it available for FOTA or Ovi Suite or NSU

each are handled by different software teams in their related country, SG firmware is not that different from MY, and as for my case of N81 last time, they even got time and luxury to do a Singtel custom boot animation... it's just how efficient is the software team, and apparently MY one is either slow on initiation or they just simply suck

mine is ranger set, it's already under SG product code with original warranty, so no worries on that... yesterday no time to grab the phone from my sister to update, will do it by this week....

but this PR 1.1 is nothing big, i wont do it for PR 1.1, but PR 2.0 i will for sure do it already... plus by the time PR 2.0 is out, most our warranty here apart (but maybe) from those 2 year warranty units will already be gone, so no warranty = full force itchy hand for me

sklchan mod is not working? i better stick with current firmware because the picture quality far more better than original. now u already update the firmware, do u mind to tell how big the photo size for 12mp in average?

still no portrait qwerty, so sad... hope 2.0 got portrait qwerty, lets hope...

i tried snap 3-4 12mp picture, average is 1~1.1MB...

sklchan mod is not working after update which i didn't uninstall before update....not sure working or not if i install back hmm.gif
