I think so, coz adding door visors adds air flow resistance, and also creates a vortex that will contribute to wind noise...

I actually remove any door visors to reduce wind noise, not add them in...

I assume that there is no noise before visor, and now there it is coz u added visor, right??

Added on January 30, 2011, 8:45 pmI'd suspect its the visors, as most cars without them have not mentioned of this problem....

If you have regular visors, then the mugen ones reduces them as the design minimises the gap between the visors and the windows, while adding a round curve to improve air flow...

However, if you dont have any, adding a visor will definitely add wind noise...

I got the spoiler from Vox Motorsports.... he painted and courier-ed it to Rainbow Kepong where it got installed... RM400 all in...

You can try Rainbow Kepong or After12 Sunway... they both pretty famous with LancerZone for mods...



For you guys who installed the Front Strut Bar, can i ask did u do the TOP (in engine bay) or the bottom one (near the wheels)?? Was told the BOTTOM is the one that helped in handling...

Need more details... what exactly are you asking??

Normally, the HU will be OFF if the key is removed or turned to OFF... and will be on when the key is turned to ACC... if its not OFF before removing keys...

If HU is OFF first and then key removed, the HU will stay OFF... but you will still see the clock display but no audio playing...

I think this is standard for all cars... if your is not, u need to rectify at SC or claim warranty....

I will be waiting patiently for a while, hopefully for the price to lower down further, as now there is more potential buyers (Lancers and Inspiras) for conversion.

The prices are pretty much fixed now based on Lancer prices, but hopefully once more and more Inspiras show up on the roads, the demand rises and prices comes down...

There are already rivalry between the shops as prices are starting to tumble... check the HID, LockTact... and soon, hopefully really soon, bodykits....

It means your HU is powered OFF, so you have to manually switch it ON every time.... if you wanna keep the HU ON every time your keys is in, dont switch it OFF before removing the keys...

If its ON when you remove the keys, it should remain ON next time keys goes in... check it again...

As per someone's mention earlier... yr HU should not be ON when you remove the keys, and it stays dark n OFF... check with Proton really soon to rectify it as it will drain yr battery if you dont remember to off it when you leave the car...

You want it on or off??? Read the manual la... lazy to read it for you and post here... double work...

Coming home light can be set off (default 30 seconds after "pulling" signal stick after key out)... welcome light, i dont think so...

1. Depends on model n color, SA and branch... some 2.0P booked during launch still not received car, some got it fast... i got mine in one month, 2.0 red... guess all the pushing worked...

2. I think so, but with so much wiring and retrofitting work done, concern will be of the warranty as Proton can use that to void it... anyhow, i loved the Auto A/C while others dont even use it at all... so decide if its important to you...

3. EcoTint branded, HB6 (6mil thick) for windows and rear, while "custom" RayBarrier (50% TSER) on front and RayBarrier (60% TSER - Total Solar Energy Reflection) for back. Security means it helps protect the windows from smashes and smackdowns from outside, tint for TSER and light barrier. Other tint shops uses diff terms (IRR - Infra Red Reflection - is the key to not having your skin burn under sun, not UV)

4. No USB input, but Bluetooth is available.... i personally think its better as can listen to iPhone/iPod songs (no need to transfer to many devices or cards or USB drives) and can use as handsfree phone unit too.

5. White is only avail in solid version, while Red is only avail in metallic. The RED is not the same as Persona, Gen 2 or Exora red, its slightly darker and has better "pearl" dust for that extra shine... but still lose out to Mitsu red...

Mine is rather low... for my taste la...

Was at Sect 13 SC today, asked them to re-do alignment (done, free) and adjust up the headlamps... the one doing my car said he check and looked and try to find, but cant find the screw or how to...

A few of them came over, and looked up and down, in and out... all oso donno how...

Will goggle it then.... sigh... and its not in the manual either...


JackNG... u mentioned yours were adjusted... how was it done??

uberific: Nope... that not how any electrical car accessories behave... once the keys are out and car is locked, only the alarm and alarm LED is functioning...

It could be the wiring, or the HU... better check it out before something more drastic happens to your car electrical system...

Proton Edar SCs are still open till Wed.... then reopen next Monday... still can make it to SC to check... and ask them to order ready the HU if need to change after the balik kampung... save time ma..

Yes, it's one of the diff between the 1.8 n the 2.0, the back seats of the 1.8 is very soft and it's worse at the sides. I think they used different quality of foam n maybe the fabric contribute tot the softness too due tot the stretchability of fabric.
