Average? Hard to say, I buy whatever I like, normally I take price range not more than USD $20 per title. This not included those limited edition or box set I truly like, but for normal single title, I won't take if it is USD$25 and above, unless the packaging is something special, I may consider it.

You need to spend more if you loving more on documentaries & concert as the discount is lessor on those category.

For a good start, maybe you can search via price range at Amazon USA:
  • Under $10 - normally in such discount, the slip cover was no longer there.
  • $10 to $15 - average price range for me, slip cover might not be there also.
  • $15 to $25 - this the price range I seldom get unless special titles I can't wait for, or special case that interesting me.
  • Over $25 - mostly for limited edition, box set, documentaries, tv series.
Amazon UK - normally cheaper a lot than Amazon US, packaging may different, I notice UK never like of digibook design.

Amazon DE - loving a lot of steelbook edition, too bad mostly title written in german. Only one title get so far "Transpotting" not arriving yet.

Amazon JP - JP is the most expensive price range, only two titles I get from there via my friend which stay at Japan.

Amazon CN - the only title I get is "Aftershock", not arriving yet.

Amazon CA, FR, IT - never get from this country yet.

** Only Amazon US & JP is 100% region A. The rest Europe country in region B, China is the only country in region C.

All those others country BD need to do some homework before get, you need to confirm it is region Free (or at least is region A capable) before get or else you might not able to play it. Unless you play via PC with region Free BD-ROM or you own DUNE BD player which is RM1k++ per unit.

Just done a quick review for Enter the Void.

First, this film really deserve NC-17 rating (This film is unrated in US. Probably never send to MPAA for rating but IMDB's parental guide suggest, it is NC-17). Lot of nudity.

Second, too much flash scenes especially the first 2 mins opening scenes rclxub.gif

Third, no everyone will love this kind of moive laugh.gif Camera already move between buildings and past memory and present.

How come it so sound like "Irréversible" they way it shot the film, this film also a lot of flash scenes, camera moving around until you can feel faint and plenty of nudity.

Yalo, my house got 2 big box of VCD not yet dispose (no time to bring throw, it has been there more than 10 years never touch)... haha..... ahem DVD ma.... even more..... not yet on dispose also, but will slowly dispose it those already get BD one. I think my original DVD was less than 15 titles, but my original BD only around 3 months already got 30+ titles!!!! Ops!

Big plans next year???? Now just 2nd month of year 2011, you already plan on year 2012 lah? tongue.gif

-------------------------------------------

I think I know why I not get Original DVD that much last time (thanks I didn't do also last time) as when DVD out, it did not meet my expectation, I know DVD is not clear enough.

But BD is different case, I so love it crazy sharp, clear image, it look perfect for me even my 1st time seeing it.

-------------------------------------------

Glee also in my consideration (I think 99.9% I will get the BD, too love on this series, ops!), even thought I already finish watching Season 1 and season 2 up to recent Ep 12.

Spartacus I already got the BD, only watch 1st disc, haha........... no mood to continue yet as I also finish watch it before I buy the BD..... the new prequel .. ok la.... it seems simple story with more nudity. Finish watch up to recent Ep 4. haha.... The only I can't stand on Spartacus is it seems too many word of "FXXk" That century got such wording one?!? I feel not lo... Don't know will get the prequel BD or not when out... Not sure the season 2 will ever success out or not, no news from the season 1 actor yet (hope he already finish fight with his cancer) and the prequel is too short, left 2 episode only. If not mistaken it only got 6 episode.

The social network is a good movie, I didn't feel boring on watching it. But worth to get BD or not I not sure la, for me it is a one time watching movie, I won't re-watch it.

Just search around USD $10 to $15 price range BD, I believe you shall be able getting one.
