btw i checked that HD681 has only sensitivity of 98 dB, so if i have a card for like 100 dB and above, will the 681 cant display details at sens 98 dB and above? actually i also dunno what i saying, just the 681 sensitivity 98 dB and card has >100dB, any impact?

so far i know is more power needed to reach higher dB

if you lazy to read let say if got two headphone which is 98 dB spl/mw other one is 101db spl/mw the 98dB one will need 2 mw to produce extra 3dB to reach 101dB
for every 3db increase needed twice power

so this means that if the Creative Sound Blaster Xi-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatality Professional has 109 dB,and the 681 with 98 dB, what effect am i gonna be expecting? some damage in earphone part or card?

i think that one you saying is the Signal To Ratio right? that one is different
which is the number of noise when output the audio signal, higher dB the better i think..

109 db - 98db = 11db.

the effect you can expect is 11db.
earphone part may or may not explode. usually it won't explode.
card may or may not explode. usually it won't explode.
