Raining everyday. But the leaves and flowers are so happy. The beauty of our mother nature. In my perception.

QUOTE(zstan @ Feb 6 2011, 07:50 PM) Wow I got an angpau which is good enough for me to buy a 35mm f1.8 with some change for a cheap filter. Hmmm tempting. @@ thx for comment..i will change it.. @ahpingko No offense but your new water mark not nice laa. QUOTE(fansoption @ Feb 6 2011, 08:59 PM) i want too...how much ah?...got minolta one??QUOTE(Newbieeeeee @ Feb 6 2011, 09:16 PM) a580. it is not the same at all..if same, who gonna buy 35mm and that 135mm...lol..Added on February 6, 2011, 9:17 pm hmm.. just take a few steps back with the 50mm.. about the same lah. why people buy 135mm f2.8 ahh? QUOTE(albnok @ Feb 6 2011, 09:30 PM) Newbieeeeee: Taking a few steps back will give you a different perspective and angle of view. albnok so damn right.. Far objects will be bigger in scale to near objects. However if you go close (whether with tele or wide), far objects will appear smaller compared to near objects. So no, stepping back is not the same thing. This post has been edited by ahpingko: Feb 6 2011, 09:39 PM |

QUOTE(yuhi @ Feb 9 2011, 10:20 PM) Erm, correct me if I'm wrong but i think your camera LCD has higher pixel density so your pics will be much more vibrant compared to your monitor. My pics all look damn chun on an Iphone. Hahaha! When I use my notebook to edit my pics, when I develop them into photos the results are not so pleasing as the colours will look damn fake as what I see in my uncalibrated monitor is not what it results in the photo. So now I have the uncanny habbit of never editing my pics as they usually fail miserably (and because I'm noob in photoshop ya..the key point is White Balance..nowadays i like to play around with my White Balance Settings..it can give different feeling into the subject and overall frame. For the colours, make sure your white balance is set correctly. Its is one of the most important aspects of photography which a lot of people will miss out. Once you know how to set white balance, you will notice that the colours of your photos will be much more vibrant. Another things is that you could use circular polarizing filter to make your skies look blue and increase contrast when shooting landscape pics under the sun. QUOTE(zstan @ Feb 9 2011, 10:38 PM) it looked dull to me..lol..and abit bengkok.. |

QUOTE(zstan @ Feb 9 2011, 10:56 PM) yup..quite noisy..and too dull.. QUOTE(albnok @ Feb 9 2011, 10:57 PM) ahpingko: Refer to the first page - I've posted a how-to to hide the pop-up flash from showing in wireless. if i wanna get a remote trigger for my F42, which will u recommend?..QUOTE(evilhomura89 @ Feb 9 2011, 11:06 PM) thanks for the comment, #1 and 2 is the same waterfall but at different angle i m interested in this macro lens as well..2nd hand piece is recommended?is it worth getting if a 2nd hand 30mm f2.8 macro is priced at 400? QUOTE(lwliam @ Feb 9 2011, 11:06 PM) colors are not there, as ahpingko said, yes it looks dull.. doesnt attract any attention from me at all.. the clouds could be made more interesting by adjusting the curves in PP, instead of an entire near gray canvas, creating too much negative space with no discernible subject matter. william, u are too straight forward..i about the say that phrase..but i scare i too straightforward lol..lastly, horizon's a bit lopsided, but that's just nitpicking... |

QUOTE(albnok @ Feb 9 2011, 11:15 PM) evilhomura89: Yes, very worth it! i see..then i shall continue use that method la..i also always use that kind of way to eliminate the pop up flash from appearing on photo, but sometime found it troublesome...hehe..ahpingko: I don't care for radio triggers to be honest because I can always trigger wireless flash with no problems. Just that people don't know how to shade their flashes in sunny weather, or that the flash signal can bounce. |

QUOTE(zstan @ Feb 9 2011, 11:23 PM) thanks for the comment. i already adjusted quite a lot of curves. pushing it further will result in more noise. =/ In this case normally i wil play around with black&white setting and contrast+clarity levels..to at least bring out some color mood..as well as some cropping..so that it wont be plain dull.. |
