Speciically to Newbieeee:
After much of my complaints of my tamron 17-50 backfocusing, I've decided to live with it and move to manual focusing to save my shots. After one or two months fiddling with the MF, I can safely say that I am getting much at MF now even with my tiny a300 MF. If done carefully and slowly the success rate of about 80%? So with this limitation, it has really taught me a new chapter in photography. now trying to improve my MF speed. And from experience, the lens has very good centre sharpness when shooting at f2.8 under GOOD LIGHTING. Under dark conditions, then you can see it's gettingsofter.
