as of now, what is the state of Malaysia defense spending compared to other neighboring countries??

regarding the RM6billion tanks purchase, to what extent it is at?? just a normal purchase+maintenance or it involves the tanks + technology transfer to malaysia hmm.gif

We're ramping up, but Singapore and Indonesia, not to mention China have increased their spending by many factors above us. Which is a bit worrying as all have territorial claims in the area.

Despite our rivalries, Malaysia has more in common with SG than any other regional partners and closer cooperation should be our aim rather than some d*** waving fest that is currently ongoing.

If you mean the APC replacement, yeah that was a total tech transfer, although I have my doubts about it. Our MBTs have no tech transfer, just the tanks and support units.

Anyways. Relevant wallpaper from a book I read as a young boy.

If our coastline is too wide to be patrol by our navy, marine police and apmm, what is the point of spending RM6billion(6 vessel) for?
Where is the justification?
Minta Rakyat tighten the belt but here they are spending 6BILLION on useless defense! doh.gif
