Exercise Paradise 2011

Royal Malaysian Air Force has conducted an exercise in Labuan Air Base
and Kota Belud Firing Field. The main objective was improving air to
ground weapon's skills. It was a 3 week exercise. RMAF's plane that were
participating in this exercise were the F/A-18D Hornet, Hawk Mk.
108/208, Su-30MKM, S-61A4 and C-130H. Some SOF elements were there too.

Why are they dressed for a direct action type mission? Shouldn't they be wearing all camo to blend to the environment?

Or are they just wearing that as a safety measure for the SPIE?

Hmmm...probably wearing Ghillie suits would do much,much better in that situation,it would also dispense of the security elements...and who the hell deploys a designator in broad daylight,in the open like that...
