If i don't see noise on my 27inch monitor printed also confirm no problem, i have printed some iso6400 pic at A4 size before, no problem with the noise at all... for those of you who never print your photos don't be so particular about the noise doh.gif

sb-800 vs sb-900? sb-900 got over heating probs. does this stop anyone from buying it? wut about events. sb-900 gonna let the owner down?
*
SB900 only overheats for those who don't know how to use flash, it won't overheat under normal usage, i have yet to get overheating after 1 year of using laugh.gif

okay2 i wont talk no more about noise..  doh.gif

Sorry bro don't take this seriously, i am not pointing at anyone tongue.gif .. what i am trying to advice others is don't be so particular about the noise if you don't print in big size .. I certainly appreciate your effort in posting 100% crops for both, guess this --> doh.gif is not a good emotion icon sweat.gif

use non constant aperture tele lenses oso can overheat it
i used 55-200 @ 200mm during stage events, ISO1600, direct flash without diffuser, overheated after snapping a few pics
1 shopkeeper told me b4 that not suppose to use mAh higher than 2000 batteries as it will reduce d flash bulb lifespan, issit true?
16-35 n 85G nearer than 24mm n 70-200  cry.gif
*
Forgot about that, slower aperture=bigger flash power needed, somemore zoomed to 200mm sure need a lot of power.... time to get VR2 brows.gif

Yes, tried both 85G and 50G. On D90 don't see the cat's eye bokeh but on D700 yes.

Was told due to the aperture design of the G lens. AiS probably easier since even towards center side also got cat's eye bokeh already.

Hehe sooner than what I thought as well, wanna fund for 16-35 f/4vr hmm.gif

I having trauma choosing 16-35 and or 14-24 now cry.gif
*
I decided to get 16-35 for the reasons below

1. Got VR ( very important feature for me, can do handheld slow shutter, can't do that with 14-24 )
2. Lighter and longer range ( Till 35mm, which is still good enough for walk around, while 24mm is still very wide )
3. Cheaper
4. Can put filter/CPL while the protruding element of 14-24 is really scary

If only 16-35 is made like Canon's 16-35 f/2.8L II, then I will choose 16-35.
*
If want to compare build quality of course use 14-24 lar, 16-35 is afterall not their top WA lens
