You get sharper pictures if you stop down the aperture by a stop or so, but as a result you get less bokeh

That celciuz's 85G different story, shoot at wide open oso damn sharp

Mod should ban him from posting any more 85G pictures

More just for you

guys
what is the different between there 2 lenses
Nikon 50mm f1.4 G AF-S vs Nikon 50mm F1.4D AF
im confused
One is G where it is gelded, does not have an aperture ring means it won't work with older cameras and comes with AF-S. Focuses slower but more accurate than the D. Not to mention better CA control too.

I for one will take the sigma 50 f/1.4 over the G nikkor just because of the bokeh and better sharpness wide open + i find that the G is too small and doesn't handle well on big body like D700

I will skip Sigma just because the focusing not as accurate as the Nikon despite being faster.

can some1 explain me this thing?
http://www.flickr.com/photos/kevin32832/4181354096the photo taken by 5D yet using Nikon 50mm 1.2 Ai-S.
How come?
Sure, Canon can use Nikon lens with adaptor, mainly because of the design (the distance between lens and also the sensor).
