From my experience dealing with Amex, it normally takes months to resolve the disputes. For the 10x MR for grocery and petrol promotion last year, it took more than 5 months for Amex to deposit the MR points in full to my account, after numerous complaints, calls and follow up with the CS officers.
As for the 15% cash back promotion, Amex neglected my emails and call queries. In the end I wrote to BNM and the cash back was deposited to my account instantly within 2 weeks.
We always try to be good, polite and patient to the CS staff. But to certain CS officers in MBB and Amex, you don't need to be so "patient" or else they won't take your enquiries and complaints seriously.
