I'm in Melb, bought it online so their warranty is third party - 12 months.

You sent it to HTC? Or it's an AP set?

Update from technician, no luck resuscitating my DZ. He will try for one more day (i didn't tell them it might be the dead emmc chip, hoping that I will get a brand new set or cash back since most of the stores here don't stock DZ anymore LOL) tongue.gif

Update... They are unable to repair my DZ, and the best part is they don't stock DZs anymore since it is out of production. They refunded me the full amount (in-store credit) and got myself a spanking new white Galaxy Nexus with only RM300 top up ($100 AUD), 2 years warranty.

Mine can't even factory reset, none of the HBOOT options work for me. I even tried to reinstall stock ROM (i'm a n00b) and can't get it to detect my phone via USB.

It was 9 months old, so yes it was a good deal! I was afraid that they will only refund me just a partial amount as it has been used for almost a year. I hope GNexus will last me 2 years! Never had a phone fail on me before, DZ was the first. #disappointed

Are they still selling DZ in Malaysia, by HTC? What happens when they can't repair your DZ and they don't have any stock left? I was told manufacturer's warranty would included 1 to 1 exchange if unable to repair, and replace with a new phone if no longer in product/out of stock.
