I haven't use any gingerbread official update rom yet so I can't review. (Too lazy to switch rom)
Anyway have anyone tired the 3G & EDGE speed hack? It does give significant increase in my 3G speed (Consistent 900kb-1200kb) But I have huge battery drain (maybe can last about 3-4 hours of using 3G) Its pretty demanding on the battery but I can stream Dailymotion, Youtube (HQ) and many other streaming site with just the first (10-12 seconds buffer) Anyone else tried this before? http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-2-g...rease-hack.html |

You can check in the garage section for dealers that sells otterbox (:
It is nice it fits in and everything. Fall down also i don't need to worry (+ our phone is equipped with gorilla glass too) The only down side is our phone size are quite large (because of the qwerty keyboard) + the Otterbox, its quite erm big? hehe. So from time to time I will take out the cover. |

I don't know why I don't like the Sense interface (especially the fact that we cannot end-process of the sense launcher when running a different launcher)
After tryout almost all the custom roms, I would still prefer MIUI somehow |

QUOTE(azrash @ Aug 26 2011, 03:52 PM) yeap, the Music app problem in MIUI is a know problem, and tun4fish said that it is a problem from MIUI itself, check out the last part of this post, it'll help to prevent the problem from occurring Thank god there's a solution. Thanks a lot mate (:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...502&postcount=2 and i wish Motorola would unlock their bootloader in their future products! Imagine Sense on a Moto lol QUOTE(chaukeng @ Aug 26 2011, 04:51 PM) you can try to use ZAGG invisible shield which shields the phone for you without adding thickness.though have to be very careful with the thing.i messed it up abit and the thing dun last long now..but at least the battery cover is well protected.seen alot of people with the aluminium back cover kind of peel off. Ahh I had it too. But I kinda take it off (for the front) because having gorilla glass but still use screen protector, is kinda waste. Gorilla glass ftw!QUOTE(luminescence69 @ Aug 26 2011, 05:31 PM) the invisible shield would indeed protect the phone from scratches, but I'm looking for something that protects it from impact as well... I thought otterbox did the job well to minimise impact on drop? I'm using that too!Any idea if anyone is still selling the "Barely There Case" for this model?... |

Its not that it doesn't support isn't it. It just that we can't download if we're outside u.s. Right?
I've been using g+ app since the beginning. I don't think our phone have problem with it. |

QUOTE(rkwan67 @ Sep 3 2011, 02:21 PM) i would suggest u to get a Mugen power battery of 1800mah. previously i have data connection on for 24/7. it could last me for 12 hours top. my original battery only like 6-7 hours top back then. How much did you buy the battery for? Where did you get it?besides, mugen do have an app in market. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.M...e=search_result allow u to swap battery while keeping the calibration data so that it perform best of each battery. im using mugen now, but i canceled my data plan. my battery last 48 hours top now. i know its a bit insane, but it do. i unplugged in 9am in the morning, until 2pm in the afternoon it shows 100%. |

QUOTE(rkwan67 @ Sep 4 2011, 03:27 PM) i bought it long time ago when im using touch pro 2. this battery fits Desire Z with lil modification. A lil modification? Seems like I have to forced a way through it haha. Aite might get this battery soon (: Thanks for the advice.i forgot whats d price already. but i ordered it online and waited weeks for it to arrive. compare to Momax (i previously had for Xperia X1), this is way better. probably is because windows mobile or the battery is just 1500mah. X1 last me 6 hours top. The port rom of sense 3.5 looks pretty promising. and guys, do I need to get class 4 higher memory card for our phone? I want to buy a higher capacity one. 8gb is too little for gaming now that I know we can run tegra games on our phone too |

Yeh I've tried Sprinkle too! Its working well with ChainFire3D (But I set my CPU 1017MHz (:
Also if you experience black or grey background when playing Galaxy on Fire 2, Chainfire3D fixed that issue as well. |

QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Sep 8 2011, 12:29 PM) I have a bug on Sprinkle though. If the game is running, and the screen goes to sleep and I wake it, the display either has wonky graphics, or a blank screen. I need to exit the app (pressing back brings up the quit app prompt nicely) and relaunch it to continue playing. Have that problem? Lol. Yours even better then me. I never had a chance to see the graphic after the screen goes awake from sleep. Best way for now is for me to increase the screen time out time to avoid it.OC to 1.5GHz also same. |

Keyboard wise, sidekick from tmobile still a winner. Other than that will be motorola. But eh, dz is way good enough (:
Anyone been using bulletproof miui? I've been on it for many weeks and it works flawlessly especially with the pershoot kernel its perfect on miui. But it seems that when running games, it is not as smooth as cm7. Not all the time while playing, but most of the time gaming can be quite a burden on my dz. |

Bulletproof MIUI is quite stable. But if you insist for the most stable rom I would say almost all Virtuous release are stable.
