G53SW confirmed dropped RM 2000
Now priced at RM4999
I guess they need to jack price down due to too many people import from US

Clear stock? To make way for G53SX?
Then would they tag the new G53SX at around that price as well?
I hope so XD

Anyway the ASUS VX7 is still new, RM5999 for the rig is quite affordable since it has performance and it carries the Lamborghini logo.

lol if they buy it at that price, then its confirm lor.
Oh yea, remember, its HD not FullHD hor. Imo go check the price of the FullHD non-3D one... i rather not have a 3D screen.

Added on May 8, 2011, 3:27 pmlol, paying extra for the logo la... and the red tail lights. Same specs as the G53Jw

Not exactly the same specs, the GPU has twice the amount of RAM.
With 3GB VRAM, it is able to support higher resolutions much better.
But imo, what's the point when the bus width is not even improvised?
It's not powerful enough to support higher graphical qualities. =/

VX7 also has 16GB 1333MHz RAM =)
But still not many can maximise the memory to that extend, at least not us gamers and multimedia users =x

Ya, it's HD, sigh.. Despite that, a 3D version with that price tag is worth it.

By next year only will the G53 3D version will have the FHD screen because the naked eye 3D will be released by then.

hahahha 16GB ram.... i 8GB unless AE and Premier at the same time, cannot use finish la. (okay la, can actually use AE to use up 5GB ram... then still got 3GB left biggrin.gif )

Lol, isn't naked eye 3D much more convenient than glasses 3D?
Imagine going to public to game n u hv 2 wear glasses to play in 3D, it's odd XD

Sumtimes I game at Starbucks, I noe it might look odd but wif d naked eye 3D, it helps =x

I agree wif ya, d 16GB reli isnt necessary at the moment, at least not during this year and the years onwards..

lol if i game public wouldn't bother turning on 3D, and right now the glasses 3D is still the most relaxing one compared to naked eye, and the effects (how far the things can be separate) is better on the glasses one (the 120Hz one that is on the laptop)

U tried using naked eye 3D before?

Well, there are pros and cons..

Using the naked eye 3D has a disadvantage where u hv to stay at a 'sweet' spot to get the effect.

But I found out that most G53 with 3D are only HD, no FHD 3D except for G73 =(

Oh, they drop the price ehh? I guess they got competition from ppl importing Sager or getting Alienware from Dell MY.

I would say most ppl who wanted so called fancy "Gaming Laptop" would opt for Alienware, those who knows value for hardware would opt for Sager. While, for Asus... Uh... its somewhere between the design and the hardware.

Well, Processor Performance gap still not that wide. The only thing that separated HM55 and HM65 is the Sata 3(6Gbps) support.
Asus did not allow Intergrated graphic switching in bios either.
