Firstly, black ops is a bad benchmark game as it also lag and crash on mine. Try games like bad company 2. It's stable and could give a good indication.

By the way, did you upgrade your drivers?

soo sweeeeeet, im loving it lol. having fun playing with relatives everyone.

btw welcome to club bro NUR_VER.3

That is very good temps.

Mine never get lower than 75C ever. The worse thing is, mine goes up to 97C on a hot day.

I think JW has better cooling design than JH.

Thanks, regarding your temp i also have the same temp when playing games on max settings...cant play much games in oz as there were no "ahem" version around here..had to buy original games lol
*
You can try goggling ozgameshop or try to buy games from Steam. ozgameshop can get you very cheap games like 40AUD for a new game or much less for older games. The only problem is, you need to wait for 2 weeks for the game to arrive.

There will be a huge sale on Steam in the middle of this year. You can stock up games on that time too.

sounds great
well, i can say that my money well spent on buying the CS source and crysis even though i always thought pirated games could save me more.

it just give a peace of mind of installing and updating smile.gif
*
I pretty much get games from those places now, as i think, it will help me to save some money. While at the same time, play the game the way it's meant to be played.

The ratio of pirated game to original for me is probably like 1 to 5 now. Thanks to those 2 sites.

Im not sure whether ozgameshop will send games to malaysia, though.

There is an international version called 365games.co.uk.

I used the Asus bios update software in windows. Then restart and everything done...

the software called aflash2. The latest bios I updated is 2.03 (for G73JW)...
*
Never use Winflash, as the chances to fail the BIOS update is very high, according to NBR.

Better use Ezyflash in the BIOS.

they changed it, but that didn't solve the problem... it was window's fault... can't install the driver correctly.... so i just did a reformat and reinstalled windows...

How is it now?

hi guys,

I've installed GTA 4 and GTA-EFLC, both pirated =x.
I did all the stuff for pirated games like crack and stuff but the game still crashed.

Just wondering if you guys updated the driver for GTX460m from Nvidia website.
*
Seriously, you can afford to buy an Asus RoG laptop and now, you are using it to play pirated?

Shame on you. Original games are not as expensive as you think.

Kinda noob as this will be my 1st time applying the thermal paste myself. LOL!
No any special apparatus needed right?

Screw drivers, anti static wrap and lots of patience.

1) No, not so far. Mine runs pretty ok. The temps a bit high, though.

2) Yes, either you repaste yourself, or sent to Asus Service Centre

3) When did you buy your G73? A1, A2 or B1?

1) 105 is way too high. You need to repaste.

2) Fix it yourself if possible, if not, you have to send to Asus Service Centre. It's not that hard, if you follow the instruction carefully.

3) That could be the reason. Or your fans are clogged up with dust balls.

Oh yeah, and G73JH users. If ur thinking of repasting, do the repaste. However, bear in mind that repaste may not provide u the best/lowest temperature as the GPU card itself runs very HOT.
*
I know that, as the temperature relies a lot on your ambiance temperature, the game you are playing and so on.

It is a fact that 5870 is very hot.

I just hope mine will never exceed 100C.

Hi guys need some of your advice.

My G53jw cannot be turn on.
When i switch on the power, the power led is on, no display, the HDD led is off then after a while the fans turn on and still no display.

Do you guys think that it is the hard disk problem?
Please help.
*
Sounds like RAM problem to me.

Maybe try to remove one of the RAM?

Nope. I'm still in Malaysia. Skipping first week.

Nope. No Black Ops group in Uni. To be honest, I don't really care cause I'm quite tired of CoD. It still run like crap on my G73.

hm? why? i can run mine abv 30fps on max settings x4AA

Nope, with shader warming and shadows, the gawd damn piece of shit will start lagging.

Thats why i quit this game, and playing BC2 a lot since then.

Aussie servers for BO is terrible. Almost every server is Nuketown.
