QUOTE(DoubleU @ Feb 27 2011, 08:23 PM) Nope, with shader warming and shadows, the gawd damn piece of shit will start lagging.Thats why i quit this game, and playing BC2 a lot since then. Aussie servers for BO is terrible. Almost every server is Nuketown. |

I wonder if there will be a G54 as well =x
Riku, you mentioned that there will be a refreshed product of G53 right? Any idea what GPU will be implemented in the refreshed G53? An ATI 6970? |

QUOTE(lonelywolf90 @ Feb 28 2011, 02:12 PM) I wonder if there will be a G54 as well =x ATi naming is no longer valid. Its AMD now.Riku, you mentioned that there will be a refreshed product of G53 right? Any idea what GPU will be implemented in the refreshed G53? An ATI 6970? AMD 6950m speculated to be the ones in G74. AMD 6870m might be in refresh G53/73. AMD 6970m has high wattage consumption resulting in some high wattage power supply. Unless Asus do something about it. All these are just rumors from Gary key and NBR members. I've no valid source yet... though Gary Key words are usually accurate. Just wait for CeBit 2011. Pretty sure, there's something gonna be happening. |

QUOTE(riku2replica @ Feb 27 2011, 11:20 PM) JB service centre, plz ask DoubleU. He warranted his G53JW at JB Asus Service centre. I will snap some pics for you. Don't worry. Btw, G74 is confirmed will make appearance at CeBIT 2011 (few days away only). And Gary Key from NBR hinted G53 as "Refreshed Unit" will get AMD Card. |

hm, i rather not have a matte screen. Also the vents i think don't look as good. But the overall profile much sleeker.
Also is this a finished unit? or will they matte the whole surface too? and is that lightpeak/thunderbolt ports on the left side? |

Not quite thunderbolt..I can't figure where's the battery since the back vent is so wide~ Also is this a finished unit? or will they matte the whole surface too? and is that lightpeak/thunderbolt ports on the left side? Still its 1x usb3.0 and 2x usb 2.0 . Added on March 1, 2011, 9:40 amanother video of G74SX 3D. Featuring Core i7 2630QM, Nvidia GTX 560m. Let's hope for non-3d version. I actually like the new keyboard layout. The keys are more spaced while the current G73 keyboard is very crammed. I tend to press the wrong button sometimes, especially near the numpad. I remember once i was playing NFS Shift, i was holding the Shift key instead of the the accelerate key when the race starts.
Larger vents, i think it's good, as you get more space to dissipate heat, but more chance for dust to settle inside too. I also like the new speaker grill, as the old dust magnet speaker grill is gone. Mine is pretty much trapped with lots of dust particle. Not that pretty, but not really a big complain. The new screen hinge is good too, as the old one is difficult to clean. All i care is it can take the games i play well, im happy. G74 looks cooler overall, but it lost the Stealth Fighter look. I just hope Asus make G74 easier to dissemble, and also better cooling. Specs will be juicy as usual. If it has 2TB HDD space with Sandy Bridge and 560 for 6k sounds, it does sounds really good. Yeap, the old vent completes the Stealth Fighter looks. The new ones seems to resemble Sport Car more. Reminds me of Zonda + Ferrari.
