Have you heard?

Seems that the issues are not just with devices connected to SATA ports 2,3,4,5. they said as long as SATA ports 2,3,4,5 are enable in the BIOS then all devices are affected even for hard drives that are connected to port 0,1.

Refresh models should arrived on mid March, model name and specs won't change but it will have a special sticker on the outside of the box indicating they are refresh model.

I heard it from Ken, will get the source soon.. This is worrisome.. SB laptops are taking a long time =(

Oh my god, the agony of waiting..

By then, Nvidia might have released a GTX560M already XD

By the way, is it worth the upgrade to a Intel 6300 despite Malaysia's not very impressive network performance?

1) No, not so far. Mine runs pretty ok. The temps a bit high, though.

2) Yes, either you repaste yourself, or sent to Asus Service Centre

3) When did you buy your G73? A1, A2 or B1?

1) 105 is way too high. You need to repaste.

2) Fix it yourself if possible, if not, you have to send to Asus Service Centre. It's not that hard, if you follow the instruction carefully.

3) That could be the reason. Or your fans are clogged up with dust balls.

yes you can, by buying ALFA AWUS306H or external wifi adapter.

1) U have no choice to repaste coz, ur GPU hit the max temp for the card itself.

2)u could send to service centre and let them do the repaste job, coz its their manufacturing line which is applying too few thermal paste, the paste hardly cover 3/4 of the gpu chip itself, since ur laptop still under warranty. I've seen most of the repaste ones, and the temps is not quite satisfying but still its better temp than before repaste.

ICD7 is not available in malaysia, u'll have to order it from overseas or US Ebay.

3) Normal household vacuum is good, i clear my asus vent which is full of dusts with it. U may need to disassemble the back panel and clean from both inside and outside.

1) They will accept ur laptop if its still within 2 years warranty.

2)all ur p0rn stuff transfer out first or keep it somewhere weird with odd file name.

3) Check the service manual. They have all the instructions there.

afag, a SB 2630QM is on par with an i7 920XM, imagine the cost that you saved to obtain such processor power. However, if you are not patient enough, u can jz go for the 1st gen i7's.

Lol, u wouldn't have to tell us that you have a collection of 'ahem ahem' XD

riku, I thought using a vacuum especially household types are not advisable?
After all,the electrostatic produced by vacuum could be harmful to the system.
Please advise.

I tried before. Household vacuum has more powerful suction power. Do it when ur laptop is turned off and backpanel to clean from the inside. and leave it for some moment to let it discharge itself.
