Cant cnfirmed that, mine g53sw got 3 ram slots i think( saw it when remove keyboard) Haha cant find the 4th or maybe it is on the other side of the mobo. Btw i think i72630 can handle more than 8gb easy

From Manual:
DIMM slot 1 and 4 are located under the keyboard and slot 2 and 3 are at the bottom side.

FYI,The DIMM slot 1 is hidden and always pre-installed with a memory in the factory.

hi all, i m interested to this laptop, just want to know is the sound card in this laptop support HDMI 5.1 output? currently i using benq s42 but i can only produce 2 channel output when connect to my HDTV. thanks

No stock. Isit sold out, or they just haven't send a thing to M'sia? And how those distributors send the stocks out? Why so slow

That one need to disturb the distributors.

The thing is, they only bring stock in that is only enough to fulfill the orders, they don't keep stock.

They are collecting orders to get quantity discount from ASUS, it is too risky to keep the stock, G series are not very high demanded in Malaysia.

can i know where u file to complaint? or wat website can file complaint to consumer right? asus service is really, one word to describe - poor.. my laptop cant be repaired.. they almost replace all the internal parts but still cant find out the prob.. then told me they will replace one new model for me..then next few days told me let them try to replace that part again..this keep on going and pull till 4 months plus..last week i requested to replace to G series..my seller emailed them..till today no news no reply .. really fed up.. i am gonna wait till end of this week..then i will call to their product manager ..if still no ans, i think i wan file complaint to consumer right too if i only got one notebook, and 4 months nth to use, who is gonna compensate me.. it seems like i spent money for them to experiment.. 

hi all, i am interested to G53SX 3d version.
but i have a few doubt to this laptop
can any one of user help me on these:
i) is the naked 3d supported yet? saw from youtube that this model support naked 3d, but how about malaysia version? previous post got someone post the updated bios can support this, anyone tried that?
ii) is the optical drive support blu ray burning? the word blu ray dvd writer seem confusing here
iii) is the sound card support 5.1 speaker if i connect my laptop to my home theater?

I don't see any much difference about it.. besides it using 2670 instead of 2630. Processor can be upgraded anytime, which i plan to when Ivy Bridge comes out.

You can't chase tech. And i doubt Asus Malaysia is that quick in bringing those new models in when they can't even fulfill current orders properly.

i've been wondering, where to buy the mobile processor in malaysia? or do we have to get it from overseas ?

But got option for no 3D right, how much extra for the 3D ?
what about the RoG mouse and backpack ?

Are G53SX-A1/XA1 newer models or just a different name ? Because I see the specs are quite similar between XA1 and SZ039V

Guys, Asus has announced the new RM3999 model with i7-2670M. Everything same except for the proc. Do you think i should call the shop and ask them to get that instead? Since Asus said it will be released next week.

Difference of HD and FullHD would be the resolution ?
The RAM can be upgraded to 8GB right , since theres 4 slots

Asus's page said that they'll be replacing the SZ039 model with this (S1208V), at midst of assembly and will be ready by end of Oct.. I'll call up the shop and ask if mine is already almost on the way, I'll take my order anyway, and wait for Ivy Bridge 

If my order is still not fulfilled and not even ready, might as well get the newer one..

Question question : If  i buy the 3D version, is the 3D permanent or I have option to turn it on/off?
