QUOTE(AMINT @ Jul 23 2013, 09:44 AM) Sharing some photo of type A. Nice photo, bro! ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us Initially I thought type A was a little bit weird but when i see finish product, the concept is actually not bad. Can you guys share your photos for different types? I feeling the same too. It's a nice design! However, i will make some renovation on 2nd and 3rd floor. Here's my plan, i will 'tampal' the big hole on the second floor which make the second floor a lot bigger. Our master bedroom is quite small too. Thus, i plan to convert half of the living room on the 3rd floor becoming a big 'walk in wardrobe' I have the quotation already with a good interior design contractor. The contractor will settle everything for me including renovation, wardrobe, kitchen cabinet etc... I survey more than 10 companies and this is the best price & service i could get. It's a all in one contractor, do let me know if anyone need the telephone number for the contractor. |

QUOTE(Lcsx @ Jul 23 2013, 12:07 PM) It's nice Amint, I am an owner of Type A too. Can i have your opinion? You can make it really very grand if you like. Nice modern chandelier. Change the rails to classic contemporary rails. Throw a nice large carpet on the ground floor. Nice matching sofas on the ground floor and nice matching dining table set on the second. Think it will look impressive. ps: you can later even use the unit to rent for photoshooting. Lol Is it worth that i cover the whole second floor? This will make the house a lot bigger~ |

QUOTE(Diablo143 @ Jul 23 2013, 12:20 PM) Hi cheon, PM already, pls check. The contractor said can give discount if doing together, haha Good idea on 'tampal' the hole, never really thought about that. Guess can do that if don't really bother about the sunlight from roof. Please PM me the ID contact details. Thanks. |

QUOTE(jit13 @ Jul 23 2013, 12:37 PM) Bro, is the ID guy known to you? previous work done? Sure, no problem. Everyone welcome Anyway, can we view your nice unit after your big reno? The contractor put some advertisement in local magazine, and he's my staff's friend. My brother just asked him to do a wardrobe at Kajang Utama. RM3300 including anti-jump door until top for 7.5 feet width wardrobe. I think this is a good price since this guy can provide us 3D design and the material is quite ok one. Others might be cheaper, but the design is a bit old fashioned~ |

QUOTE(Malaysian_driver @ Jul 23 2013, 12:37 PM) Tampal the "hole" then gone lar the concept... But it's up to you lar. Do you need to build extra support to cover the "hole"? One man's hole is another's poison... Not all holes can accommodate everyone's liking. Yes, i am thinking too. Once tampal the hole the whole house will become bigger. However, the concept gone.Yes, we need some support. Anyway, the cost to tampal the hole is quite reasonable~ This post has been edited by cheon: Jul 23 2013, 01:07 PM |

QUOTE(jit13 @ Jul 23 2013, 01:19 PM) Can do 3D and advertise in mags - must be a professional ID guy, huh? If he include semidee side owners for discount, will definitely consider end 2014. Yes, the contractor is a nice friendly guy. I went to lots of exhibition and lots of kitchen cabinet companies, came back to this guy finlly. His price might be not the cheapest, but he's providing 3D design, which i think is quite important for us. |

QUOTE(AMINT @ Jul 23 2013, 01:35 PM) imagine u cover the big hole. the lowest floor will be very dark coz we dont have a sliding door at the lowest floor as we only have 2 small windows and 1 door. wanna do sliding door? cannot coz this is strata title. facade cannot change. stucked here. the only thing that we can do is to put on lights. many of them.this is my pov. of course it is up to own preference. Yeah...hopefully he can give us a good price. Those who bought semi d have the option to do the same as well on your middle floor. i rather not cover. can share the contractor? if we all do together sure discount2. Btw, Nizam is nice to me too. There's some major defect when i got the key. He actually called his guys to repair the major defect before i submit he defect form. Now left minor minor defect only |

QUOTE(Lcsx @ Jul 23 2013, 01:55 PM) Well as Malaysian Driver said, you can but you will do away will the existing concept. Thanks so much for the suggestion Just a few concerns I guess. The ground floor ventilation will still be there but reduced. The air flow will be through your staircase area. Of course lighting will be another area you may need to look at. Your house is essentially 3 floors. So the ground floor may be dark. I am not sure, can't tell about how bright it will still be after covering. You should check on whether it is necessary to reinforce the foundation although it is unlikely that you will actually need to by adding the floor space. The other part is on the approvals part. As you know we are still under master title and we be applying for strata in future. Not sure whether management would easily allow this type of modification at this point of time. You will have to check with them. And I am guessing you would like to build that portion into a room right? You will have to get bomba approval later on also if you want to do it officially. I am not converting it into a room, just make it to an additional living room, or might be a playground for kids in the future. Thanks again ya |
