very heartache to see the denso is made in indonesia.. lol

i do add on 2 extra speaker, but i can't feel it at all...
Maybe the guy that help me install speaker, no skill....
*
here.... me driving a B line. Added already??? Like that i dunno lo.

Mine is maintaining stock rear speakers, added Pegasus component speakers up front, added an amplifier and a subwoofer at the back.

Need to fine tune a lot on the audio setting (treble, bass, fader etc etc....) to get the most optimum sound.

Make sure dont report polive if u see me do that.. haha..
Mine also same.. Got scratches on the windscreen near the bottom.. Just realised these few days when heavy rain and needed to use the wiper a lot.. So can see the scratches becoming more obvious..
Lemon again..  whistling.gif  I dont have such problems.. haha..
Me also using Bline.. I normally blast music in car.. U need to set the tune the EQ settings in ur radio.. Increase the treble and bass.. Then when slow cruising in the middle of the might 8 also can hear ady.. But then must see how sensitive are ur ears also lah.. If u always go clubbing, got permanent hearing damage ady, confem lah 8-10 also cannot hear one..  tongue.gif

yea i got lemon brakes indeed. p*** betul.

There is really a lot a lot of ppl.. Even those who made appointment in the afternoon also they dont want to accept ady.. haha.. Was in the reception room just now and i heard the fella complaint..
No need call i care.. I brought out the incharge fella.. His name is Hasbollah.. Damn lanci.. I screw him ady.. 7mins later 1 technician took my car now in the service bay.. They are replacing the power steering assembly now.. biggrin.gif  rclxms.gif
CoSE is reknown for their slow service.. But then at least they have the spare parts to get things done lah..

@scattygirl, about the handbrake feeling very soft, its the brake pads problem.. I just drove a fellas Hline just now.. His handbrake is super solid.. Very strong feel.. But his car feels a bit too light for my liking.. OMG the brakes were wonderful.. haha.. Did handbrake turn with ease.. XD The guy was peeking at my computer then he saw he on lyn forum.. So he started lah asking all kinds of questions.. lol.. Recommended him to use denso and works engineering filter as well as esso synergy 5000.. He was using syntium 800 and Shell 97 all this while.. His car felt laggy, lack of low end power, but his car felt amazingly light.. compared to my car.. There is something different that cant be explained.. Probably its due to the alloy rims being way lighter and better for handling..

Added on January 31, 2011, 4:05 pm
Shoot him ady.. But pity him also lah.. He explained to me earlier ady that the car will only be ready around 5pm.. Cos there is really too many ppl.. sien.. kiasu ppl everywhere..  sad.gif

Btw xandras i asked the rims price ady.. Its Rm2.4k for the gunmetal color with tires.. Currently out of stock and need to wait for new stock to arrive first..
*
H line brakes are solid indeed. My younger bro drives a 2nd hand unit H line. good brakes. even with soft bosch pads.

zeng, so basically u spend there since like 8am this morning and only now ur car kena touch???? thts pretty "excellent" of them.

[quote=ZenGTMM,Feb 6 2011, 01:55 PM]biggrin.gif  The power steering assembly is just change the pipe from the reservoir to the power steering.. It used to be a steel pipe which causes the sound.. Now they just change it into a flexible pipe instead.. So i dont think it would create any problem.. Furthermore i recommend u change it during ur 10k service.. Cos they also replace the power steering fluid for free too..  rclxms.gif

I wonder why the attachment is not working.

Nvm here are the pics.. The original ones the highlighted pipe is wrong.. Its actually the pipe underneath the highlighted pipe.. Notice how the other tube part that is connected to the body just right below the blue part there? Its been replaced by a flexible rubber hose instead as per 2nd pic.

oic. to get this replaced FOC under warranty at Proton here is really pain in the a$$. It's ok. I think i will just DIY by adding thick padding there. Thanks for the tips on the location. Actually i was suspecting that area all these while. If you guys noticed, Persona and Gen2's engine bay arrangements for the pipes are really like SHIT.

A lot of rubbing causing excessive wear and tear. If u go and observe, u will actually see a lot of rubber hoses rubbing against each other causing wears on its insulation layer. I found quite a lot of them and i padded them accordingly. Most of them near the master brake pump and under the engine plastic cover near the IAFM area and the throttle body.

1) Yeah all SC are aware of this as its a common identified prob. However if u were to go to other SC they will have to see it first then order the parts, then u have to go again when the parts arrives. For COSE they will say they need to order parts too, but show them a black face then they will replace for u immediately.. But they will service ur car taking their own sweet time.. Better idea would be to make an appointment, then go there ask them to replace it, say u forgot to bring the order slip.. If they ask u the SC got call u to inform the parts are ready, then just say yes thats y u came to service.

2) Yeah its the same metal knocking sound.. And no orifice valve does not solve the problem, it sounds as seem the problem is solved but it still came back.. More like just a placebo effect only lah..
Yeah.. I noticed the piping are very messy and excessive too.. And u can see they tie up a lot of piping together with those zip-cords.. I see u have insulated ur aircond pipe also in ur pics last time.. Where do i get those insulators ah?
*
insulating the aircond pipe is just a piece of mind that the aircond does not loose out the cold gas to cool the evaporator inside the blower (in cabin) so that it will be cooler. those cold pipes flowing into the cabin heated up by the hot engine, will for sure looses its cool. so insulating it makes 101% perfect sense right? hahahah...

not only i insulate the aircond pipe.... i did it for some sections for the hoses and etc. i use small pvc pipe for added insulation also to prevent wear. cuz i found some pipes are pretty worn out and cut to certain extend due to excessive rubbing thanks to Proton's design for the piping layout.

those insulators can be bought in lengths from car aircond shops. I think around RM10 per length.

Persona still have poor low rpm torque especially felt at around 2k rpm to 3k rpm. Even with IAFM. Though my mods like 4-2-1 header and light weight rims improved it a lot. But still.... there's some more to be desired. Felt the campros without IAFM... there are even way more shocking.gif shocking.gif .

I usually find myself over taken by some smaller cars when accelerating from standstill unless i full throttle it pass 3k rpm. Feels heavy.

walau dunno why my car feels pretty underpowered today.... some more while in top gear lock up and cruising around 2k rpm push the pedal a bit to speed up... the engine knocks all the way pretty loud.... like frying peanuts in a wok....

i think the engine power is lacking ever since i accidentally jerked the engine causing the o2 sensor socket to come loose and thus, causing engine check light switched on. mb ever since (last week before CNY) the engine ecu got error somehow and mb it caused this????

dismantle battery terminal to reset or go SC to plug in the OBD 2 to reset the settings?

Yeap i have ur number.. XD But want to get plugs means must come for TT.. haha..
Standard price for plugs RM180-200, Air filter RM150..
ok..
The thinner the core, the lesser the voltage required to jump the gap, that means lesser misfiring.. As the plugs get old, the gap becomes bigger and bigger.. So the voltage required also will increase causing misfiring.. If use a thinner core, even as the gap becomes bigger the voltage requirement still remains around the same.. So it will still create a bigger and stronger spark than normal.. Denso also more branded mah.. Yeah as long as the plug specs are right any head also can use..
for semi-sync RM79 only. I bought at Carrefour.. Fully sync Castrol Edge is RM160..
Try dismantle first.. Then see if the O2 sensor can be replace back properly.. If still cannot means have to go to SC to set back the ECU to default settings..
*
o2 sensor was re-plugged back in and the engine check light is gone during the discovery last week. hmm... yea gonna try dismantle the battery to reset the ecu. hopefully will be alright.

oh yea, furthermore.... i just recalled that that day after i modded my header and midbox, i have yet to reset my ecu for the new setup...

New Campro engines do not use plug cables anymore.. Nowadays all modern engines are using ignition coils to provide better spark and voltage instead..
NGK titanium are cheap cos they are using titanium, the melting point of titanium are lower than iridium.. Thats y iridium plugs can last up to 100k km.. The higher cost of iridium plugs pays off with better power, lesser FC and also longer lifespan.. I have posted Dyno proven results of misfiring by plugs together with the bulk order.. It should explain the difference between NGK, Bosch plat iridium super +4 and Denso iridium 0.4mm plugs.. The difference are huge..
LOL.. All those potential power not fully harnessed yet..  tongue.gif Later once reset properly ady ur car can compete with Civic 1.8..  shocking.gif  Btw what petrol are u using?
Not too sure though.. But magnatec oil has a special formula that clings onto the metal compared with other oil.. Its proven though.. Last time in my house i always use the balance of magnatec to oil the gate joints to prevent squeking.. It last longer than WD-40..
*
Compete with Civic 1.8? Please la! hahaha.... Persona is a very heavy car fitted with a low torque engine. Kenot la. Even with mods, still nothing much to shout about...but just a much nicer / better drive only. Unless BOT or engine transplant.

Living in Kuching or in Sarawak for that matter, got 3 choices of fuel. Pretty sad case.

1. Shell
2. Xcel - Esso pulled out from Sarawak like 10 years ago replaced by this Xcel company (dunno WTF is this company) nobody support also.
3. Petronas

So since Shell is more easily available (more strategically located) i have been using Shell since my first car many2 years back. My Persona is running on Ron95 since the first day.

Anyone using open pods in their Persona automatics?

I am talking about not just plunk in the open pod but have it better placed in a location whereby its the most possible coolest area for the intake.

Is it for better or worst?

Remember my ticking rear drum brakes? This is due to the weird design of the slider pad from Proton. The grooves found on the slider pad causes the pad to literally make noises when brake is applied. Slight vibration through the brake pedals can be felt while applying brake pressure even during stationary. Can hear the noise from behind also.

Temporary fix would be to stick a double sided tape (done by Proton).

Note the grooves below

Permanent fix would be to tag weld a thin piece of metal plate over the grooves to enable smooth sliding of the pad during operation.

Ada personarian do engine transplant? Want to know what engine can fit inside.

Or what turbo can be added. Might consider do after warranty over or after 1 year.
*
the common engine is mitsubishi 1.8 GSR turbo (terbalik version). Comes in half cut either in manual gearbox or tip-tronic automatic.
