Hey guys, my dad is going to buy me a laptop to replace my 3-year-old dual-core lappie.

1. Brand: Not acer please. (Prefer Asus)
2. Budget: Around rm3k, prefer <3k.
3. Specs:good battery life, portable, surfing internet, good speaker for listening music, suitable for gaming such as COD, dota, L4D,etc.
4. Size: 14 -15 inch
5. Processor- intel i7 core.
So far, people from computer shops recommended me ASUS X42JR-VX141V.
Anything good suggestions and X42jr is suitable for me? rolleyes.gif

Let's just say u cant really game much with x42jr since the GPU is really weak.. If u dun game, better get Lenovo V470 @rm26xx... Much better option and using SB processor.. Intel Hd3000 almost same level as Hd5470 anyways

P.S. Everyone before you post, can u guys at least read the previous few pages before asking?! There's been tons of similar budget and uses for many ppl.. Should just refer the answer given previously since those mentioned are the best deals currently.. Notice many sifus dun come here give answers anymore? Because the things asked is repetitive again n again..

There is only one model A42Ja, the one with i7...

But with the old i7, don't expect good battery life and higher temp also compared to i5...
and also its soft speaker...

There's also ThinkPad Edge 11 with i3 380UM@RM1899, Toshiba T210 with U5600@RM2099
But if you are looking for 10'', that would be that T580..
