QUOTE(Pepper @ Oct 4 2011, 03:53 PM) 7. this one i understand, but some people has perfectly good body, but they only benchpress and curl and then chat for 20 minutes literally dude, you DO know you just contradicted yourself? stay on one side of the fencehe did mentioned about gorilla posture can be fix'd by doing DL and Squat 9. that one i understand 13. the stubborn muscle that one i also understand but really there's no point to isolation when one doesn't even have "functional strength" aka twig arms only comes to do curl and that's it :I and whats with posting other people's pictures? that guy in the pic did say in his thread that hes a beginner and was just starting out. if you wanna be this offensive dont be butthurt when someone else does the same to you. post a pic of yourself too btw. all talk and no pics makes for a big YAWN thread. |

QUOTE(Pepper @ Oct 5 2011, 06:41 PM) +1 thisisbetterthaniexpected.jpg if someone were to say im weak, i will lift, if someone said i lift wrong even if it's in a negative way, i research about it and correct it. the worst you can get is when you lift for so long and no one were to correct you at all, even if it's in the most negative way. there's no need sugarcoating when it come to advice. some ppl needs it, but the most important is the context. mike, stop shooting blank so you're the one to judge who needs what am i right? im not shooting blanks, you need to answer why you just called yourself a fag. lol razor. same here. imma gonna go bath and go to my appointment zz |

QUOTE(razorboy @ Oct 14 2011, 12:49 AM) Kalo mau cut, bawa lipo 6 je. Main high rep , main machine. Kalo nak tangan cut, main high rep tangan. Then proceeds to munch on random junk or randomly sing along loudly to the gym loudspeaker. this sounds like pt's for normal shoplot gyms, right? well fitness centers are different in a sense that they actually teach them the basic pt stuff, first before being able to get clients. they have different levels of PT's, too. |

QUOTE(cyloh @ Oct 17 2011, 10:26 AM) I was warming up yesterday in my condo gym. Finished warm up and was just about to get ready to plow through my main workout. Stood at the corner facing the wall to psyche myself up. 10x10, ok ok I can do this... I'm ready! Why these things never happen when I'm around. I love putting douchebags in their place. And pls let this happen during deadlift days lol. Deadlifts are beast mode for scaring away people. I swear the area around me clears out when I start doing heavy ones. ............seven high school kids came in and started to train their hip hop dance in front of the mirror at the weights area. 5 more girls joined in to ogle at the boys dancing and toyed around with the machines and weights.... giggling and all. FUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! QUOTE(razorboy @ Oct 17 2011, 11:20 AM) Think alpha means is turning to a hulk. Rawr! |

talking to a PT between sets of deadlifts. gym was almost closing so the newbie pt's are all cleaning up the weights. i had 3 plates on the bar. PT i was talking to commented not many people in the gym does deadlifts regularly and with that many plates.
this newbie pt comments sarcastically that theres no point you lift heavy if you dont keep the weights back. now, i ALWAYS keep my weights back but i was sooo tempted to leave it there after my final set. decided to not be a d*** and kept them anyways. scrawny PT guy would probably have a good workout keeping back the weights. |

QUOTE(jamis @ Oct 18 2011, 02:07 PM) Ask his name and report it to the manager for his rude manners. Noob PT nowadays are annoying and they dont deserve those title with that kind of attitude. Call them gym roaches better. Not worth my time, tbh. All I wanna do in the gym is get in my workout and get out. I've seen the way he trains his clients, not professional at all. Hmm come to think of it he might not even be a registered trainer yet, didn't see his pic in the pt board and he doesn't have the trainer uniform |

QUOTE(theCrab @ Oct 18 2011, 10:17 PM) I don't do deadlift Hmm never did get a trap workout from deadlifts though. Imo deadlifting gave me more strength gains rather than anything else. Helps to put poundages in your other lifts. it works my traps some but i gain not much from them(9 months consistent deadlift") since i ditch it and do it for barbell row i get better grow not everyone have to deadlift but cant deny its a very good power exercise At least that's what I noticed when I started deadlifts heh. Grip has increased some too. |

QUOTE(razorboy @ Oct 19 2011, 10:27 AM) your arms are hooks to the bar, your arms are attached to your traps, which means in the movement, the load is on your traps. If your traps dont get fried, basically, at the top of the movement, you are hanging on with your arms, not your traps. dude are you saying deadlifts do more to your traps than shrugs? deadlifts uses traps, i agree, but my traps are way more sore the next day if i did smith shrugs |

QUOTE(razorboy @ Oct 19 2011, 11:45 AM) well shrugs isolates the traps , but deads work them just as well. Because you mentioned that you don't feel it in your traps and just your legs. Well, unless you are doing a SLDL, quite frankly, the main focus should be in your back , not your legs. With a deadlift, I feel my traps, lats, middle back lower back get hammered before I start feeling anything more in my legs, not that I don't feel anything at all but it'll be like the 1st working set instead of the feeling of getting hammered. I don't know if you get the idea. But that is what I'm trying to point out here. dude, reread what i wrote. i mentioned it hits both back and legs. and traps since you mention it lol. i wasnt trying to be specific, im just telling whats sore the next day..edit: shrugs are done on my shoulder days so no probs there. stop editing your posts haha This post has been edited by mikehuan: Oct 19 2011, 11:49 AM |

chill, healthy discussion is healthy. hmm i probably need to change my words a bit. by getting a workout i meant being very very sore the next day. and yes, my back gets it more than legs. specifically lower back gets hit the worst
not just pin placements though since i dl from the floor hip start position matters too. all about leverages. heh, my routine is i rest a day after back days so at least im recharged a bit for shoulders |
