To all sifu:
I am a newbie to this forum and also a newbie to interact to Alienware gaming computer brand.
I am planning to own a m15x laptop.
But i have refer to plenty of reviews about m15x laptop(mostly written by foreign countries users),
their reviews says alienware doesn't last long, heavy, not good,etc.......
So i am getting not quite convienced to own after i read most of their reviews.
So i am here today to ask opinions to all sifu right here about m15x.
I heard there's a lot of user here from Area-51,sounds cool.
Is m15x really doesn't long-lasting?Is alienware products so not good?
And by the way what is Area-51 anyway?

U wont get the awesome ness until own it!
The lighting System is just AWESOME!!!!
The FPS for games. .
Wow!!
Not to forget
1080P for 15 inch Laptop?
Apple also cannot do that!
Is just awesome. . .
Everything. .
U wont use battery to play game. .
Sure use power plug wan. .
U can choose to turn on Stealth mode to increase stamina and off ALien FX.
If u need a laptop for work, microsoft, internet. . bla bla bla. . or siting in McD for half day
Alienware is not the right choice.
But
If u are a hardcore game thumbup.gif den it will fit it just fine! cool.gif whistling.gif

Thanks ericongq, you just gave me a quite detailed intro for Alienware products.
For honest,I am just planning to get a laptop and this is going to be my first laptop.
So i don't want to end up screwing my choice.
But since you say if its for general use its not quite good choice, what about taking it to college?

And be fit.. Mine weighs almost 9KG in a bag with accessories. rclxub.gif
I thought I could bring it to take research notes but looks like now it will stay on my desk and I have to look for another lighter one, like the iPad2... biggrin.gif

The reviews you read, are they for the Alienware m15x or the Alienware M15X?

The m15x is the Area-51 series and the M15X is the successor to the m15x.
So far, I have not seen much negative reviews on the M15X but as for the m15x, there were heat problems, weak outer shell (the plastic was a little bit too fragile) and a bad hinge design.

Alienware no longer uses the Area-51 brand since Dell took over.

Oooo.
So there's difference between M15x and m15x.
So malaysia dell company provides M15x or m15x?
And what is Area-51?

to make explanation simple,

just put in your mind that there are only 3 laptop model that Alienware provided as a moment we speak.
M17x
M15x
M11x
thats the basic things you should know.

regarding Area-51, its an Alienware desktop. the other model for Alienware desktop is Aurora smile.gif
