Ken2291:

For the latest Speedmod, K12L, it may attractive features is improve sound for Radio right. I hardly use FM Radio, should i upgrade from K12K ?
*
besides sound and mic improvements,
- Rear speaker volume increased +1 for media
- Light sensor polling interval changed to 2s instead of 0.5s
(saves battery, more stable brightness levels)
- Light sensor sensitivity adjusted so that the screen doesn't turn bright so easily
(saves battery and reduces screen burn)
- Adjustments to IO scheduler Tweak (super smooth now!)
- Changed battery level polling interval to 60 seconds, from 5 seconds

I hardly use FM radio too tongue.gif but I just flash anyway and install Voodoo app. U'll love the radio after this!! Let others listen to ur radio, it's not a radio anymore. LOL laugh.gif

Hello guys, need your advice~ speedmod kernel 256 and 500 which one better?
*
500Hz is recommended as it is more smooth and doesn't do any noticeable difference to battery life

lol i using 256 all the while, so now thinking to use 500~

1 more question...i saw this at the changelog
- Adjustments to IO scheduler Tweak (super smooth now!)

does it mean i have to enable IO scheduler Tweak only will become super smooth?  rclxm9.gif
*
yes, u have to enable that. I'm using 256 all this while too, only K12L then I switched to 500Hz biggrin.gif

Lagfix is optional, if you want to your phone to fly then enable it. Bear in mind that using EXT4 as file system will consume more battery compare to stock RFS.

Me myself does not apply lagfix as I felt that stock RFS with speedmod kernel is fast enough for me.
I do apply lagfix last time when I was using 2.2 rom, but 2.2.1.... not require for me.

So make your own choice  biggrin.gif
*
Hardcore said ext4 might save batt compared with RFS, he even modifies it to write less than RFS

u'll get ext4 when you apply lagfix to your phone, but to play it safe, stay with rfs as there are some reports saying that lagfixes(ext4) can corrupt the system in the phone. correct me if im wrong.
*
any source?? I don't think ext4 will corrupt the system hmm.gif If so, how abt Nexus S??

You know the SGS batt icon is not displaying correctly according to the actual percentage.

Apparently, the signal bar is also like that. Read thru this link here if you want to correct it:

^ That's about it, other than that it's a Galaxy S through and through, and has AT&T / TMobile's proprietary software in it. And to flash/root the phone you'd use a different rom than those used in the Galaxy S.
*
so better to get International variant of Galaxy S tongue.gif

if your phone is new, let it charges for a few cycles, battery life will get better. also, remember to set ur WiFi sleep policy to "when screen turns off" if u use WiFi frequently
