Oh.... if got 3 button combo means phone will never brick??
Btw.. whats the download mode for..
*
yes, 99.9% unbrickable... The phone itself won't brick, it is you made wrong setting that brick the phone

Download Mode is a mode for you to flash firmware via Odin, it is like flash a complete clean firmware

1) Avoid frequent full discharges because this puts additional strain on the battery. Several partial discharges with frequent recharges are better for lithium-ion than one deep one. Recharging a partially charged lithium-ion does not cause harm because there is no memory. (In this respect, lithium-ion differs from nickel-based batteries.) Short battery life in a device is mainly cause by heat rather than charge / discharge patterns.

does this means its ok for me to charge the sgs = example ..... charging my phone when the battery level is 50% .......

Something to share, yesterday i sent in my sgs for warranty due to camera failed..
By today they give me a call it's ready to collect (quite efficiency work from samsung service centre).. They claimed that they change the camera for me and they update my firmware to DXJPB. wonder is this the newest so called officially firmware?

don't have to root. you just need 2e recovery/cwm

get the update.zip from darky's website

yeah, cwm is kinda useful

Very easy. First you flash speedmod kernel using the instructions given in the link by gajahwhite. Enable all tweaks or maybe lagfix too.

See if you like it. Don't like or want to explore further, then you download Darky V8.0 non wipe version and put it inside your /sdcard. Flash it using CWM. There is a tutorial video in Darky page (refer to the link gajahwhite given you).

After you have all the files ready, flashing speedmod should takes you less than 5 min. Flashing Darky V8.0 should takes you less than 15 min. Then you are done!!  rclxms.gif

Oh... i downloaded the Darky V8 Wipe version...

Cause i thought wanna wipe off everything in my phone...

But if so... that means i should install Darky v8 only Flash speedmod?? (scare it wipe off speedmod also)

Or make no diff???

Superuser means your phone is rooted. Rooting is needed for apps like Titanium Backup, Adfree and etc

Get the update.zip, then place it into your internal sd. Next, boot into the recovery mode and apply update.zip TWICE. You'll get your 2e recovery by then to install the darky's rom

Err, darky's v8 comes with a voodoo kernel with lagfix disabled, meaning after you install the rom, your existing speedmod kernel will be replaced with the voodoo kernel. You gotta flash the speedmod kernel again after installing darky's rom. Remember to disable any lagfix/tweaks before applying darky's rom
