Hehe, the DDM will be sent tomorrow.
Oh I am going "deaf" for a while. That spare money in my account just screams, "NEW IEM, NEW IEM!!".

I won't give in that easily this time.  laugh.gif

I bought it from blegh. So it was fully burned in when I got it.
There is still a minor problem of incoherency though. They say it should go away at around 1000 hours.

I don't have it now. Right now the IEM is in a brown-paper packaging, 2 layers of bubble wrap, my old Hippo Gumstick foam box, in an airplane, 10 000 metres in the air, over the South China Sea, on its way to Jaben Malaysia for repairs.
See you in a while, DDM. sad.gif

The bass was a bit out of place in some pieces of music. Someone pointed out that that was the incoherency. Sounds great still though. biggrin.gif

I bought from blegh for RM450. Yeah the bass got a bit better, more with the music over time. I listen with it for around 5 hours a day. It's so relaxing.

Hmm... I should have compared T1 and T5P there. Have Jaben tested T1 & T5P under same circumstances? T5P bass is too plain...

Now only PC soundcard can bring the bass out. AVR also cannot. ipod and all other mobile players all cannot. This defeats the purpose of mobility.

Hehe, yeah, listening to my PL50 right now. biggrin.gif
I'm missing the bass of the DDM already. The PL50 is warm but without the bass impact.

right now i have the Custom 1 and C551. but the Custom 1 purchased long time ago and spoiled already. sad.gif
and i had a hard time choosing between C551, S4, and SE777.
because got really different sound signature. it took me a few hours at jaben. tongue.gif

in this case,u really have to listen for urself, according to ur songs preference.
the SE777 is the only BA driver if im not mistaken in this range.
i've tried all of the list u given except CrossRoad Quattro.
IMHO, Hippo VB and A-Jays 3 still a bit bassy for me. VB is warmer than A-Jays from what i've tried.
but VB can adjust the bass level.
the SE777 is the most bright in all of this list.

Klipsch Custom 1 and S4,the signature sound is almost the same. S4 has tighter bass than the Custom 1.
C551 is a bit bassy than those 2 300 range iem, S4 and SE777.
but still u can get the details after burn in.

this is just my point of view. u really have to try for urself at jaben bro. smile.gif
make sure to bring ur own source and credit card for emergency. haha.

just my 0.0002 cent. smile.gif

You mean you're listening in a quiet place or you require silence fromt he IEM/headphone?

Well, if you want isolation, the DDM is a bad choice. laugh.gif But vocals and instruments(especially string instruments) sounds marvelous. Also bass, from kick drums and double bass or any bass sounds awesome! drool.gif
Female vocals have a little less excitement though with these.

You want something that's focused in the mids to highs. The DDM is focused on the lows to mids.

I dunno anything with headphones. laugh.gif Never a fan but I may venture into it.

well, low = bass section of the song, low frequency area.
mid = vocal section of the song , medium frequency.
high = high frequency, usually the cymbals playing.

Just a rough idea of what it means.

Add something,
Low is the bass section that's correct,
Mid is the meat of of the whole music, instrumentation, vocals are coming out from here.
High is the treble of music, the details of it.
