Carrick wasn't doing well but he did his job since both him and Fletcher were playing way deep. On the second half, yes Carrick made a lot of interceptions especially in front of the goal. It was our attacking players that were having a bad game: Nani, Giggs Berbatov and Rooney.

should have play with 5 midfield... it will not be so less stressful for the defense. Anyway good job to the back 5. Rafael did well too... he attack but didnt see any striker to help him out. my opinion Fletcher is not himself on 1st half. Nani also not himself too. Oh well at least we still got a point. Spurs wing play are very dangerous... Bale with Ekotto & Lennon with Hutton.
**Lucky is VDS as keeper. If is Kuszczak he would have punch all the freekick out. |

QUOTE(boxsystem @ Jan 17 2011, 02:33 AM) Mana ada. Chicharito was the fastest. Lennon had the start before Chicharito started to run and ditched a last minute tackle. Perfectly executed. LOL. ala but when you think, Lennon has been on for the whole game, at at 80++ mins, he still has that blazing pace. Macam kuda on steroids je.BTW, on my twitter timeline, ABUs are upset that Spurs didn't win. LOL. |

QUOTE(kokenn @ Jan 17 2011, 02:25 AM) It seems you are the only one understand what carrick is doing. Give away ball doesn't mean he sucks unless he made mistakes and led to goal but no one praise him when he successfully intercept the ball. This. Carrick actually plays a role similar to sergio busquets of barcelona - that is to read and intercept passes from in and around midfield or to wingers. His job is then to do a simple lay-off to fletcher or one of the wingers. His main role was not attacking in the first place. |

lucky we didnt bought the other botak central defender who is error prone particularly in the game before ours...and to think they compared him to our captain rock-solid when he was bought by them is very laughable now
