Point well earned - i think even SAF would have taken the draw before the game started.

Spurs are no pushovers, i think out midfield actually did quite a good job of shutting down modric and vd vaart today. With carrick and fletcher you are never going to get much creativiy, clearly SAF already mentally prepare for draw =)

Carrick actually plays a role similar to sergio busquets of barcelona - that is to read and intercept passes from in and around midfield or to wingers. His job is then to do a simple lay-off to fletcher or one of the wingers. His main role was not attacking in the first place.
