samsonite price is inhibitively high lor doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

targus is cheap and easily available in malaysia, but design = boring~!

try sierra high, ogio and such. better design + uniqe (not many ppl use u know, so u can stand out)

What kinda notebook bag are you looking for actually? If it's casual and funky I'd recommend

Crumpler: Link

Good thing about it is, there are lots of colours combination for each model, and you could even customize the design yourself at some fees, on top of that, it is a notebook in case it confused you hehe;)

using a Kensington SaddleBag (lifetime warranty) and a Trunk&Co. for my powerbook... definitely getting a crumpler soon.

IMHO, the Ogio looks ugly, except for the vest which seems kinda interesting.

They are bag maker not the designer which need to have good outlook to attract the buyer. What I mean is their bags are practical design to use everyday and alot of compartment designed for each items storage purpose.

tongue.gif Kinda lame but for my 12" Dell, I use those biker backpacks(The one in Fast and Furious). Looks like a metal shell outside but its actually some type of Plastic. I didn't get a bag with ma Dell and didn't invest into getting one specifically for my notebook. Since this has a Compartment for notebooks, I have been using it... biggrin.gif

Hmmm...stylish ah? then maybe go for Nike laptop backpacks, the design quite cool...but nowadays it's the sling bags that's the latest trend...brands such as Crumpler very famous nowadays

Now that u mention it. I remeber someone saying that Timberlands Laptop Backpack is good and pretty? Today i went to check it out. And i found one black Timberland backpack that looks nice. The only problem is that the price is 599. On par with Nikes Gadget back. I think itz called revolution or something? It got a hard case. The nike bag that is.
The targus revolution laptop backpack still got ar? How to get from u keropok? And whats the max size of a laptop can put in?

Go To Tear Proof boutiques around KL eg. Mid Valley, KLCC, get High Sierra.. can get around RM150 or less I think.. For Crumpler, as mentioned, they have a boutique at KLCC next to Sony Wings.. can go there for huge selection.. money to burn..

Yup, the size is too big unless you are house a 15" notebook, a raincoat and a pair of jeans. Otherwise, the backpack is not utilize to its limit.

Check out the location beside the Northam tower. Its an apple shop on top of a cafe. Hardwarez or something the shop name. I couldnt remeber. Northam tower is located on the other far end of gurney drive beside gleanelcless hospital (donno spelling right or not) Its the corner building. The Mahkamah there.

hEY,

Im a big fan of the EPIC. thumbup.gif
The problem is that when i wanted to purchase the EPIC 2, I had to really look around for it and managed to find it at Hytex KLplaza. Unfortunatly someone booked it as its supposed to be really rare here with only 6 units in Malaysia(I was told by the staff). If not cheap at RM600 but I feel that the ergonomics for the back with its back support was a big thing for me.
I've already purchase a backpack so maybe in the future, if mine fails me, I might go EPIC hunting again... tongue.gif
Targus Evo looks a bit like EPIC doesn;t it Jason?

what keropok said!
i actually like it cause of the frame.. its sorta like a rib/exoskeleton which keeps the shape of the bag. quite tough, and flexible to a certain point so its resistant from breaking. plus the cool thing is that..the bag can stand on its own! bags on the ground toppling is irritating.

drat i can't find the pics of mine on the net, i believe its already discontinued. cool, limited biggrin.gif i paid AUD$199 for mine biggrin.gif biggrin.gif it hurts quite a lot when i paid..but after i got it i never looked back. mine is similar to this but different in colour. tmr i'll post pics.
epic gets bronze award @ Industrial Designers Society of America

the one in the link above have side ribs + netting...that costs AUD$299.. i passed tongue.gif cause the feel of it on the back = same.

julchin_09
i saw a nike epic today, camo graphic in KL, 30% off. heeheehee.

EDIT: the targus evolution does resemble the Epic, but the feel on your back.. different story! but in terms of protection i believe Targus is good.

i believe mine is EPIC 2 (or 1), i can't really recall as i bought it last year and got rid of the tags.

Lot 10 Nike Shop Ground Floor
Nike Epic Urban Camo Graphic RM599, before 30% discount. the back is different from mine, construction feels more solid but heavier.

yaler 30%..if 50% i buy liao.. so whch one you think is better? i know i'd choose the epic over the targus..now you own both..what do you think?

julchin_09
not ho mia le, wanna get a messenger bag to carry documents and stuff, cos when not carrying notebook use the epic, bit the overkill.

all the Nike Epic discontinued liao i think, their official website dont have it anymore and online stores show it at discontinued, both the Epic & Epic 1.. so difficult to find info.

Still here la... hehehe... so u wanna know TARGUS vs EPIC???

Weight: Targus is of course lighter..
Back Support: Epic simply the best..
Notebook Padding: Targus is better...
Storage Space: Both the same i guess...
Style: Need i say more??? There's less than 10 unit of EPIC in Malaysia... hehehe.

On rainy days i would definitely use my TARGUS... better protection i guess with those raincoat...

Hi all. I saw a Nike Epic (RM599) being displayed at a Nike shop in Subang Parade. I didn't notice a shop name but it's located where BSN (Bank Simpanan Nasional) used to be. It's just next to Dome.

Anyway, I'm oso looking for a notebook backpack. Carrying a 15" Acer notebook in the conventional Targus sling bag is really a pain and hurts my shoulders. Any recommendations? Most likely would store a 15" - 15.4" sized notebook, some documents, CDs, pens, water bottle/tumbler, etc. Looking at Targus range but budget is roughly RM250 and below.

i would advice against getting sling bags for notebooks..you'll get sore shoulders in no time. crumplers look cool, but to use their sling notebook bags..you sure gg. i'd get the Targus Revolution over a crumpler backpack..

Was at Harvey Norman awhile back. The range of Targus backpacks are limited. The prices were even worst (very expensive, think the price was abt RM300++). Dun think I can negotiate there.

I'll check out Lowyat Plaza this weekend.

Just be aware of your surroundings when you carry your notebook backpacks. I used to carry a baton with me when Im walking home at 2am with my notebook in my backpack every night. Luckily for me my bag has those contours like the EPIC(Holds your backbone and shoulders in position) so if outnumbered can still runaway. But if one on one...Im gonna use the baton. flex.gif
If on public transport, you'll have to make sure your bag doens't go out of sight. Make sure its secured properly so that a slightlest pull will alarm you. thumbup.gif

ACtually never take off ur bag wherever u go. The good thing bout targus revo bag is that the laptop compartment cannot be open easily when ur using the bag. The main reason i got a laptop backpack is that i dont want to use the normal laptop bag which literally scream I HAVE A LAPTOP!! COME ROB ME!!!

After searching for backpack @ Midvalley yesterday, I finally bought a Mendoza backpack @ house of Leather @ RM113 after 30% discount. The padding of the bag is good, comfortable and fit my nb nicely, plus, it is much cheaper compare with targus.

May be u guys can go and check it out too. Currently they are having 30% discount for this brand till 6th Oct (http://www.sunway.com.my/pyramid/index.asp). However, I can't find any info on "Mendoza" when I googling.

Saw Mendoza brand at Subang Parade. If I'm not mistaken, the shop name is "House of Leather". It's located above Dome. Unfortunately, I was aiming for Targus. So I decided not to get this brand. smile.gif

About the EPIC Backpack...

Thanks to TechGirl for the info.

I made a trip to Subang Parade and took a look as NIKE shop. Saw the EPIC and was fondling with it when I was approached by the owner.(I think its the owner, Sarjit his name) He explained to me the details of the EPIC and informed me that he had another 3 more in his store. All units are the Urban Cammo design. I told him that there are ppl interested in this unit and that someone I know got it for 30% cheaper in KL(kEROPOk). The best he could do was lower the price from RM599 to RM480. Anybody interested can go there and take a look.
Oh yah one more thing. New EPIC coming out soon.... tongue.gif

Yeah...the EPIC is a laptop bag...I think u should be able to fit a 15" inside. But funny thing is that he told me to put it on and he fitted all the buckles for me. Told me its good if you need to run... blink.gif . Im guessing it might come in usefull if somebody points a knife at me and demands my bag...

Nope Jason. He told me that Nike has manufactured quite a few bags using the BioKNX technology from the EPIC backpack. The only difference is that these bags don't have the shell like the EPIC which results in them being priced between RM150-RM200. As for the New EPIC, he said next year only, he didn't really go into details...... blush.gif

New EPIC coming out soon.... tongue.gif
Can't wait....

Went to AL-Ikhsan "The Curve" today...they too have the Urban Cammo EPIC Backpack. Unable to bargain though...

Seems that there is a massive import of the EPIC along with other BioKNX related Nike Bags....

I checked out Lowyat on Sunday and noticed the lowest price I could find for Targus Urban II is RM229 while Revolution cost RM339.

Can any1 recommend where I can get the best price for the Urban II?

Thanks in advance.

Try Midvalley. There is a shop there in IT area which sells Revo for 280. So i suppose the Urban should be cheaper. Not sure though. Or ask Keropok to get for u. He should be able to get cheap.

Well I don't have all the pics but you can check out Nike.com for the bags. They are actually normal bags but with the BioKNX technology for back support. They are priced below RM300. Here are some that I saw in our local shops....The EPIC Urban Cammo has just been shipped to Malaysia in bulk. FHM mag for October just reviewed it so it must have just arrived.... thumbup.gif

This thread seems very quiet...every1 got their backpacks?

I still haven't. Looking for a good deal for Targus Urban II. Checked Dell website and found tht I can purchase the bag but require to pay courier charges since I'm not buying any Dell peripheral. Any1 has an idea how much is the courier charges? Unfortunately, the bag comes in black colour only (according to the website).

if u wanna go for urban 2 with RM170 ,I would say go ahead ,

the design of the bag (full of pocket)and workmanship is good.. really , and very spacious and also convenient compare with mine.
but bc of the waterproff and raincover and the workmanship of mine is also not bad and the material is very tough, so I still prefer my one. (Because I always carry my bag during the rain ,ex:heavy rain ,and i forgot to use rain cover the water also cant go in ,with rain cover 100% cant go in for sure )

Anyway, this kswei is a trustable seller. I know him personally but not sure his Deuter bags quality.

o... I prefer raincover too (if ur OGIO got raincover would be perfect)

Deuter ,but looks like not bag ,mayb someone can go to buy it and try and let us know ,hahaha

Deuter Giga Office <==looks really good ,RM279(negotieble)Ripstop-Polytex material

other 2 using Super-Polytex

Deuter-Super-Polytex: Made from 600 den Polyester thread and with a thick PU coating, this multi-purpose fabric is robust and lightweight. It is most suitable for our high quality hiking backpacks and crossover packs, used in average conditions to keep the weight to a minimum.

Deuter-Ripstop-Polytex: The sturdier version of the Deuter Super Polytex with woven in stronger threads. PU coated. It has an important role in our travel packs and the Aircontact series.

i dont really understand what is studier version ,meants Super Polytex better or Ripstop ??

i went to Crumpler Custom Bag Shop in Melbourne, Fitzroy.. and their other shops in Lt. Bourke & Hawthorn..

let me put it bluntly..their notebook bags does not impress me one bit..i would go for a targus anyday. i feel the padding isn't sufficient and the edges aren't padded properly.

also, Epic 2 is no longer available but the Epic Graphic is still available. the 2 is more lightweight.. more for urban and the Graphic is more for utlity.. according to the salesperson anyway.

I'm using the Samsonite backpack and the laptop compartment can be detached to become hand carry...

Cost me RM260 smile.gif

But I'm very satisfied with it as I stashed 2 external hdd and wireless mouse inside, my relatively thick book, a bottle of water, a small file containing my documents, my md player, my headphone (not those ear buds), my pencil case, a few of my Cds and MDs ....

And it's still considered as comfortable for my case..

Well, to sum it up, comfortable and durability smile.gif

anyone?

oh btw keropok (its shinigami now isn't it? tongue.gif) can urs fit a 15.4? but ur still a bit over my budget la..

ideas anyone? internal padding for the laptop is a must biggrin.gif

thanks ppl! notworthy.gif

edit: additional info. i need a bag that is kinda big. to put a text book and some notes inside. and i'm quite tall and big. so i cannot use a small bag. else i wld look beyond stupid. btw, anyone knows where i can get a lapstation here? its by jansport. oh and one more thing. anyone knows a bag that uses the same technology as the airlift of the jansport? thanks ppl! biggrin.gif

Width = 30cm

Height = around 40 - 45 cm

Thick = Fully expanded, around 20cm

Hope this helps smile.gif

This is one of the best designs (my preference though) for Samsonite which I can find off the rack...

airlift is indeed jansport technology. they have a claim to it afaik. but i'm sure there is an equivalent for other brands right? can anyone point me in the right direction?

hey guys, i have been trying to look for a lapstation for the longest time. anyone here saw it being sold anywhere? i don't think jansport makes them anymore sad.gif

Welcome smile.gif

For the lappy part, I consider it to be well padded ... At least minor bump will not cause any harm to the lappy..

For the back of the bag.... Yea, it's comfortable too.... (Unless when it's over weight tongue.gif)

Erm, I really don't know about the look ... Perhaps you can give it a try in the shop maybe?

Welcome smile.gif

For the lappy part, I consider it to be well padded ... At least minor bump will not cause any harm to the lappy..

For the back of the bag.... Yea, it's comfortable too.... (Unless when it's over weight tongue.gif)

Erm, I really don't know about the look ... Perhaps you can give it a try in the shop maybe?

Thanks, thanks and more thanks! biggrin.gif erm..Just one more favor that i wanna ask for tongue.gif (what an ungrateful git i am) tongue.gif

What's the model number for yours? And if i may ask, where did you buy yeah?

Thanks again! smile.gif

The Epic 2 Graphic sure looks great! Been looking around for the specs & dimensions but could not find anything on WWW. Can anyone help?

Well if you're free you can hop over to Subang Parade Nike shop and check out the real thing. Look for Sarjit who happens to be the owner and tell him you read about this online. He might give you a good deal.
Or hop over to the Al Ikhsan stores cos they have them too, but not as cheap as Parade.
Have you tried Nike.com? sweat.gif

Which do most of you opt for ? the backpack type or the carry type ? I am using Dicota that came with my Toshiba notebook. Solid.. but I find it really heavy making the notebook even heavier than it already is.

Cool. So it can fit a 15.4? Will it be a snug fit or will there be somemore room after the lappy is in?

Now it's either the Revolution or the Samsonite recommended by geminist..But the samsonite looks kinda smallish tongue.gif

Have to think about it first. I kinda like the rugged look of the Targus though biggrin.gif

Is the bag itself heavy? The targus I mean..

Thanks smile.gif

Definitely not the carry type (by this I'm assuming that the carry type is the sling type? On the shoudler-correct?). It kills your shoulder. At first, it might not be heavy, but try commuting on the train, walking around campus and going around the mall with girl friends who shop as though there is no tomorrow sweat.gif

Thus the reason I am looking for a backpack type smile.gif

Btw, anyone knows where to get the lapstation series (it's a Jansport btw). I think they stopped producing it already..

Hmmm....

Actually if you go to the shops, the cheapest I got is RM480 from NIKE SHOP Subang Parade. I spoke to the owner of the shop there and told him we had a forum online talking bout potential Lappie bags and he was impressed. You might be able to squeeze a bit more from him. Sarjit is his name. Other than that I think Shinigami got it really cheap at HYTEX STUDIO KL PLAZA at a 40% discount from the RM599 price tag...If its that cheap I would have bought also but Shinigami got the last unit. BTW its the urban -cammo design....smile.gif

I realize that most of you guys here are using backpack. However, backpack dont really suits me, I prefer sling bag (messenger type is good). To me, back pack just doesnt match with formal wear. I wear formal to work and I have to bring my laptop along.

I'm now looking for a new bag. Heard you guys said STM's sling bags are nice and cheap. I would like to know where can I get the best prices for STMs... Can anyone help ?

I have a backpack and also a sling bag. backpack got it free from my supplier while Samsonite sling bag is a birthday gift from my wife. The sling note is so slim and it can accomdate the notebook only - look horrible if you put power cord, big mouse etc. Still prefer the backpack - look techie abit with the supplier logo on the bag...hehehe.

One more thing, any proper water-resistant cover for the notebook ? - currently i'm using big metrojaya plastic bag to cover it (not that professional looking though) blush.gif

Anyone know of a place which sells decent laptop carrying cases? I've been looking around and i have not found any that are perfect for my laptop which is a 11" ultraportable. They are always too big and too bulky. Any ideas?

I m using Sony carrying hard case for my portable 11" laptop. But they is no handle for the case.

Wah....Ozak,

Yours better be some high tech material from targus or dicota or something. THeres one which can withstand a brick falling on your notebook. Not mine but advertise at the same booth I bought mine. More expensive. I think its DICOTA....Ermm...maybe even Targus...I cant really remember......

Wow! can withstand a brick! Wish you tell me early. Waste my $250+. The case is such expensive cause it from japan and an original sony case. Today I brought another small carrying bag. This one with a handle and easy for me to carry. Cost only RM25 and got Sony tag. (fade one) hehehe. Just nice for my sony portable laptop.

Sorry didn't bring this up ealier cos everyone was talking about BACKPACKS and SLINGBAGS. Anyway when did you buy yours? Mine was bought on 1ST WEEK of December. Anyway mine can't withstand a brick falling so don't bother. It was the other one advertised but like I said its more expensive.....But I doubt it reaches RM250. For that price you coulld already get the metal briefcase....Like in the movies....tongue.gif

*
On the contrary, I think a backpack is more smart looking. Especially if it's black. But that's what I think. Try the samsonite range. It's meant for the working people anyway. Yuppies mostly tongue.gif

Oh btw, my friends got me a Samsonite for my bday! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif The Sahora ICT-something 350 series. Quite big. But overstuff it and it'll weigh a ton. I still prefer the airlift series by janpsort. But nothing big enough. Sigh...

Shinigami sent me a link to the Dicota bag shown below.

I couldnt find much info about the pricing for this bag online.
Can anyone tell me is there any Dicota shop in KL ?
Where can I find full range of Dicota products in KL ?

Found something similar from Crumpler and Targus.

All three are about the same, ermm.... hard to decide, so I think the pricing will decide for me.

Shinigami's selling price is very good. You wont get these prices in any shops in Lowyat.

I bought the Targus ®evolution Messenger Case II this morning, RM180. The Dicota sling bag shown above is priced at RM190, quite big but a lil' too big for me. tongue.gif Saw a STM too, RM220, a lil' too small. hehe.

The Dicota Trendsetter Pep.Up is kind of similar to the Targus ®evolution Messenger case. Check them out if you're looking for sling bag instead of backpack.

Yes, the Orange/Brown STM messenger case. Nice bag, just a lil' too small for me. It comes with a detachable mobile phone holder on the strap, love that. The bag is available in Green, too. The price tag says RM299, got it offered for RM220.

Omg, the back is really fantastic, where did u get it? and how much is it?

Hi,

Well actually you can walk into any major NIKE retailer in KL and they should have, but thats if its not sold out yet. This used to be a really limited bag. NIKE EPIC 2 had only 4-5 bags in Msia in 2003-2004. This one came with a bigger stock.

I think your best bet is to try out AL-Ikhsan Sports Store in KL....Nike Shops have them too but sell them more expensive at RM599. Al-Ikhsan sells them cheaper. Make sure you check the condition of the bags as they have limited units and a lot of the ones left are the display units which will be full of lines/scratches and creases. Funny thing is that I got mine in the Restoran Jejantas AL-Ikhsan Store on the North-South plus highway near Malacca tongue.gif. I got mine for little under RM500.

Yeah, its for notebooks and other stuffs....A Lot of pockets and compartments in there. The skin is waterproof and padded well. Adjustable straps and hip contact pads for weight managements. You can carry heavy things in this and your shoulders don't feel the strain... thumbup.gif

I Admit the colours are a bit dodgy but its really very nice in the flesh. The turtle look is many due to the camera angle..... whistling.gif

Other Colour types not available here.....

RM700? Whoa I thought only Nike basketball shoes reach that price? whistling.gif Anyway I haven't heard about the new one. Even NIKE EPIC 2 hasn't come to Msia in the 2nd release but it does look a bit sissyfied compared to the EPIC GRAPHIC.

Anyway I've scouted for new ones and they aren't any but NIKE has made some new Lappy BackpackS with the same concept of weight management like the EPIC. It looks really nice and lighter than the EPIC as it doesn';t have the hard shell but instead a built in frame to retain the mould of the bag. Its slightly cheaper at RM300 and has lotsa pockets......Saw it at AL-IKHSAN when I got mine...

P:S If they would have been a new EPIC going for RM700..I would Never think about getting itV sweat.gif . This one is priced alright for me.....And YES Mine is also tagged with the warranty valid in America only, and the bag is made in China.,,,What happened to yours by the way? huh.gif

Oh, is it the gutter string which tightens your bag by pulling it over the zips and hooking it to the top portion? That can tear so easily?

The gutter string is strong... it's the small hole with that little metal thingy... that metal thingy got torn apart. I guess somebody might have pulled the string a lil bit too rough... cry.gif

Oh...so your bag still functions lar....its just the metal thing which prevents the fabric from tearing has broken right??? sweat.gif

Well I will heed your advice. Just that I feel the shoulder straps are prone to creases. When I got mine there were only 2 units and both had some creases. I picked the one with the least lines on the shoulder strap. After using yours for Months now, how bad are the lines on YOUR shoulder strap? unsure.gif

P:S on another note, if you search GOOGLE iMages for NIKE EPIC/NIKE EPIC GRAPHIC You will see that some parts of the bag are not the same as the ones we get here. For example the net thingy which you can take out have 8 hooks on it as opposed to 7 on ours. And on the back portion of the bag which keeps in contact on our backs. The ones we get here have 2 huge shoulder pad which protrudes to minimise contact and provide airflow. The ones on google have 2 S shapes facing each other on some glossy like fabric. Other deails the same.... sweat.gif

Yeah i did and i kinda like the black one... regarding the padding, i believe ours is better (theirs sure sweat if u carry long time) even though ours not better looking... I also kinda like our Dual-adjustable lumbar "S" panel better... better in design.

I See, so you noticed too...Well I was just wondering if ours can be counted as BioKNX technology? Cos I read the review of the other EPICS and its stated that you can adjust the curvature of the back of the bag os something like that...Are the ones here FAKES??? Or a redone design? whistling.gif

I agree with you the padding on ours is better as you really feel the minimal contact. As for Lumbar S panel, did you mean the 2 contact points at the hips with the netting? unsure.gif

actually to be honest i dunno what the heck is the "Dual-adjustable lumbar "S" panel" is... hahaha... since the shoulder strap the most adjustable, i thought that was it.. so what i meant is actually the S-shaped shoulder straps with dual-density foam and 35 degrees of articulation/customized it... ours is better.

i see....Thats why all those mambo-jumbo got me searching as the NIKE Tag which came with the EPIC just read EPIC and didn't come with an additional TAG inside with BioKNX written on it like in this pic below...And I think the 2 S shapes at the back portions are the lumbar thingy......

Oh ya.,...the newer EPIC Graphic you were telling? I saw it there too....Nice colour and the mould/skeleton outer structure on the newer epic has engravings on it and comes in a glossy beige color. It cost a whopping RM759.... ohmy.gif

What lar.....Lazy fella.....Okie I will post these which If I remember correctly were selling at NIKE midValley for Around RM250. But bear in Mind they are nice, cool and have a lot of adjustable strings/belts/pockets....but not very good for carrying notebooks...the BioKNX for these bags include lumbar surve adjustments and volume adjustments like the EPIC to keep goods stored nearest to the body....Hell a lot of adjutsble stuffs...just waht guys like playing around with.... thumbup.gif

Sling bags looks kinda nice... especially the Dicota Pep Up, but Crumpler Laptop Bags are too expensive

however... on second thought.. sling bags are tiring to carry around. My sling bag put books also tiring. Sling bags not so practical??

These backpacks that u guys are discussing are kinda expensive eh? Nike Epic costs RM400~500? Hmm... verry out of budget. Targus has lifetime warranty which is a pretty good plus point. So far i feel that TARGUS EVOLUTION Rucksack is the prettiest of all Targus backpacks. Most backpacks can fit larger notebooks?? eg: 15.4" notebook?

Yeap, I would say that the Nike Epic is more to the expensive side....Nike is selling theirs for RM599 and the New one for RM759... ohmy.gif

Anyway I used it for travelling with my notebook and electronics inside plus some clothes. It turned out fine and I didn't have strained shoulders. The weight to hip transfer works and helps even/share the load..... thumbup.gif

hmmm...how bout the ERGO backpacks currently selling here as idragon....you should be able to spot them in skater shops in Bukit bintang area. I've been using one for 2 years and its good to lug around, but it lacks the interior volume of the EPIC plus it doesnt have that many pockets for my liking. But it does stir some attention when it comes to being trendy.... smile.gif

Dark coloured? PVC coated exterior isnt it?

Was at the Curve yesterday and checked out the new Epic. My eyeballs almost pop out when I saw the price tag. A whopping 200 extra from the older Epic.

When I turned around, saw another Nike backpack. Like u guys said, dark coloured. But as for the price, saw the price tag of RM379. Interested to get this one if there is any available within the region of RM250. Hence, would appreciate it if u guys can share whereabout to get it for the price mentioned.

laugh.gif So what do you think about the NEW EPIC? Sweet? Which Shop in THE CURVE? Its basically the same back but with a different design and pain job. How much for the old and new EPICS? RM599 and RM759 respectively?

Yea julchin, its 599 & 759 respectively. Am not quite fond of the new Epic as the design isnt as eye catching compared to the ones u n Shingami has, but again...opinions differs.

At the Curve? There is only 1 Nike shop and the new Epic is displayed right out front.

Still cant find whats the model for the dark coloured PVC backpack. Anyone has any idea?

If I remember correctly, the NIKE Lappie backpack was selling for around RM270. It has a small resemblance to the NIKE EPIC cos of its build and has about the same volume but a lot of pockets....That was a nice bag....Saw at al-ikhsan....Try and check this out....also dark coloured....The New Epic looks like its made more for gals IMO....

i want to share about Dicota warranty issue.

i called the official Dicota distributor..Skyline Marketing Sdn Bhd, confirmed got LIFE-TIME WARRANTY but limited to manufacturing defect. for example, they covered for zip defect, stiches defect or any other manufacturing defect. we need to bring it or just email them and they will decided wether it's manufacturing defect or not. problem like 'koyak' or color faded wont be categorized in manufacturing defect, so no warranty.

lucky for me to get one-year warranty from the shop i bought. sweat.gif

the backpack is for 15"/15.4". her notebook is 15" and kinda bulky. if put it inside, still got spaces. maybe u can try it. smile.gif

edit: can do both, sling or backpack. also can hide the 'backpack holder' inside. very neat.

Thanks for clearing this up lgs. Im asking because I have no idea how much is the Targus Evolution Rucksack cost now as Shinigami said the price goes up higher. Do you know where is this shop? Another reason is this shop selling at reasonable price thats why afraid... cry.gif

its so hard to get a proper laptop bag.
Either its so damn huge like a camping bag,
or its just so small and slim that u cant fit in the chargers.

i just got my Fujitsu and the laptop bag that comes with it is pretty cool and slim BUT i cant fit in the chargers. If i do, it will be pressing against the laptop.

last time i got a STM sling bag for my ibook from APPLE Studio. that cost me 200bucks.
thankyou
