Xandman... Simple job. Just drill holes onto the frame where it seems fit. Keep drilling until the desired weight is achieved. Can do the same on the drivetrain as well. tongue.gif

It's either the bike body or rider's body. The problem is you'll get dehydrated very fast as you'll keep leaking red liquid as you ride...

I think how much can a bike take depends alot on the rider. Heavy or not? Skills gud or not? Landing got transition or to flats? Dirt or tarmac? Only do once kinda jump or frequently?

Propedal is effectively a low speed compression valve. The problem with PP is the occasional spike it it's compression curve. Making handling sketchy and unpredictable.

Snappy, which part leak oil? Aircan side?

Why HT if you like long travel? laugh.gif
*
Agreed. I dun like d exegerate feeling of bobbing front end coupled with a lively rear end. Maybe a 100mm with a min of 500mm A2C would b perfect IMHO.

Some people like hard tails. Like the fella who went down Whistler... Dunno y... giler already i think sweat.gif

If you want something fast, go roadie la... haha laugh.gif

That's Jinya Nishiwaki. Sponsored by Cromag. hT is good for simplicity. I think he mentioned in that video his shock kaput liow, stuck with 120 travel or something lidat.

Heck, why not get a full rigid bike? Good for training skills.

Anybody here using the RST 100mm F1RST-AIR PLATINUM? How is the performance and the weight? I'm torn to choose between this RST, SID RLT, and manitou R7.
*
RST tends to be having sticky stanchion issues. Just doesn't gives that smooth feel. Just like a FOX... LOL

But other than thAt, no issues and good weight for bucks. Serviceble issues, dat wan dunno lo...

No experience with FIT, but motion control on the Revelation is pretty good low speed compression (helps brake dive, pedal bob & makes the front end more easy to pump the terrain). Coupled with both neg & pos air, it makes for a very tunable front suspension (makes the front end more sensitive to small bumps while still have enough suspension not to bottom out in bigger hits). As for both the rst & sun tour epicon, only basic air pressure & rebound. Personally I like the epic on better for it's smoothness, albeit a small weight penalty over the rst.

Oh, another thing. The rebound setting on the rst has wider tuning spectrum over the epicon.

They charges bikes differently from normal excess baggage I think? Best to check with airlines 1st to avoid last minute surprises IMHO.

When you check-in, make sure you declare as bike. they will charge differently. This only applied for full bike. Frame alone cannot.

Added on February 14, 2011, 9:42 amWhen you reach klia, tell them you on biking vacation to avoid tax.
*
Does this only applies for a to and fro trip with bike in tow or can still apply on return trip only? if it's only applicable for 'to and fro', have to bajet in a chapalang bike to be thrown away also... blush.gif

i just bought a mtb raleigh elite pro. the problem is i don't know how to ride a bicycle. can someone teach me the easiest way how to learn how to ride a bicycle.. tq
*
Simple. Go up to the highest road you can find within 100km of your house. Bring the bike up there. Lower the seat so you can sit stationary. Do your prayers and roll down the hill. At the end of the day, you should be able to accomplish something... sweat.gif

Joking joking... But seriously, do try to balance on the bike 1st lor while coasting. Then learn to pedal.

Hahaha... I think it would make a very good video of a person learning to ride a bike in that route you mentioned Xandman. It would be VOD worldwide!

Reminds me of those Red Indians throwing their kids into river to learn how to swim. Learn or die attitude rocks!
