Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Well.... Marvel pulled no punches!! The movie starts with guns ablazing (metaphorically speaking) and really does not let up until the very end. Because of the comic, I kinda guess the ending and also how the second movie ends, but as I had stated Marvel does not shy from... doing what needs doing!!! People here would probably know how much I.... dislike Thor Ragnarok. This movie really redeems that character for me in the Marcel Universal (Though truth to be told I still miss Mjornir). This is a heavy HEAVY movie, and there maybe a stumbling block for Marvel. I am really not sure how Spider-man Homecoming 2 is going to happen!!? (Does it take place before of after this movie??) With it, not pulling it's punches, does that mean Fan of the movie... would be turned off? Only the final block office will tell. I like this movie It is NOT perfect, and have to add, it is still pretty well made Lets see what the box office says soon Oh, I pet peeve, until date, WE STILL HAVE NOT HEARD AVENGERS ASSEMBLE. My Two Sen |

Batman Ninja - Great visual and anime animation. The story just plain illogical to a point you want to stop watching. It's SMH and Batman is the dumbest detective you've ever seen. The plus side is the Joker here very well done and his fight scene with Batman is worth sitting through the stupid plotline.
Psychokinesis - Netflix's follow-up of high profile Korean acquisition. This is a movie by Yeon Sang Ho of Train to Busan fame. So like it's predecessor, it's subverting a popular genre to tell a humanistic story of father and daughter. Taking a page from Inuyashiki manga, a loser father bestowed with superpower but instead of the usual fighting a supervillain it's about father repairing his relationship with the daughter. Overall is enjoyable but takes awhile to reach its destination. It's not as crowd pleasing as TTB but still carries over the same DNA across. Thought the psychopathic Director girl very interesting but somehow they did not explore any further on her. |

Revenge - new coat of paint.
I wanted to love this movie and yet glaring plot conveniences pull it back for me a little. Love the art directions and some refreshing new spin on a familliar genre. While not an expert in firearms think there's a pretty big mishandling of weapon depiction. It is easy to nitpick every thing inadequate about this movie but you have to give credit where the characters and the story became more than your usual rape revenge fantasy. Bloody and tension filled. Certainly this movie offers plenty of visual style and a pretty bang on in sound design. |

Deadpool2
After the success of the 1st R-rated superheroes movie, Deadpool continue to crack more R-rated joke and scene. But since they hv got more budget now(1st were made under very low budget), more characters*, stunts, and CGI is added. There's quite a lot of jokes/punchline were referring to recent event/news/movies. if u want to enjoying watching this movie or getting the jokes, here are some movies u may need to know slightly b4 watching : X-Men(apocalypse/days of future past),Logan,Avengers3,Ryan Reynold previous appearance(consider failed) as Deadpool in X-Men, green lantern Rating 9/10 *most of the audience dint laugh at the punchlines (I wonder y), and its too weird to lol alone *some of them don't even know the villain(CABLE) is played by the same villain in Aven3 (THANOS) just my 2 cents. |

Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
This movie is all about... pedigree. The Rogue (Han Solo). The Ship (Millennium Falcon). The Sidekick (Chewbacca). The First Love (Qi'ra) It has it ALL. I keep mixing up Thandie Newton with Zoe Saldana. Hmmm.... For the people NOT in the know (where have you been?), this is Han Solo origin movie. And it really has it all, where is he from, who his first love is, how he became rogue everyone love ( » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « )Ron Howard has always been very good to bring out the human interest to whatever projects he is involved in, and this is no different which actually adds to this movie. Is Alden Ehrenreich young Solo? I cannot say I am a fan of his. I can only remember him, from the movie, Beautiful Creatures (2013) which was not a big thing... After watching this, he... sold young Solo (great backstory to the name). Jonathan Kasdan & Lawrence Kasdan wrote the script, which brings me back to my pedigree comment earlier. The only thing that did not work for me is Donald Glover, as young Lando Calrissian... Oh, Woody Harrelson is also in this. Was actually surprise that » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « is in it!!?!Will thing be another big money earner for Disney? Has there been any doubt? (Not sure if it will make more than Rogue One) If this is the level of quality Disney can maintain for Star War stand alone movie, bring them on. My Two Sen. P.S. please forgive any more than usual typo, it is 3:24am, and I don't have any mental faculties left... |

Deadpool 2 (2018)
Watched this last week, and and it is hilarious.... I not sure David Leitch is as cutting edge as Tim Miller (director). Still the movie was enjoyable I was surprise that » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « .And all the stuff Josh Brolin's character Cable, put up with, in the movie » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « And also Deadpool » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Oh wait... Did Deadpool use » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Chances are, you have already watched this, if not... why the hack not!! QUOTE(Mov_freak @ May 24 2018, 04:35 AM) After watching Atomic Blonde think it's fair to say Chad Stahelski is the better director than David Leitch. Leitch just another director for hire that just does passable effort but not trailblazing type of film directing. Not that he is lacking effort just not enough substance or the Chinese saying "not enough minerals". |
