HI. I am going to UNIMAP this June. I am taking diploma in mechatronic engineering.I have a few questions to ask. Are short pants, T-shirt(without collar), slipper and pyjamas allowed in the hostel?

Ok. I also confused about the sleeve.Must the sleeve until wrist 1?

I just wore formal, which is = to Black/white/any shirt, long or short sleeved also can+slacks+black shoes.

OIC. I thought short sleeve are prohibited and must wear long sleeve.

First of all, welcome to this thread richard lai. And congratulations for getting into UniMAP. A long journey awaits you.

You don't really need to be that formal during the orientation week, I mean with long sleeve shirt and stuffs. Coz in June, the weather in Perlis will be very much killing.

But you might want to wear a long sleeve shirt for the photo shoot. The one where they snap photo of your handsome face and print it on the student card (they call it matriculation card, or matrix card, in short). Long sleeve shirt is not compulsory though, but a tie is compulsory. IvanWong1989, do correct me if I am wrong.

For your info, IvanWong1989 is a major contributor to this thread, and he is VERY POPULAR in UniMAP. Yeah, trust me, his popularity resounds in every nooks and corners of UniMAP.

Any doubts or problems regarding your stay in UniMAP, just post them here. We will try our best to answer all of them. Especially IvanWong1989!!!

The University does not have its own tie. Tie colour is not fixed. If you are prepared to match a blue tie with an orange shirt, that's fine with everybody I guess.
