QUOTE(craftsnknots @ Feb 12 2012, 08:26 PM) WOW! This is nice! What do you call this wall paneling? What material, how do I explain this to my contractor? Coz they are not very 'modern'..How much would this cost? decorative wall paneling... the wall panel is custom made by carpenter with 20mm thk mdf board, spray paint finish install on ply wood back panel, + reinforce timber frame to hang TV

Those never go out of style.

A friend just pointed out something to me and I thought might as well post it here to get the answer. For TV cabinets with drawers/closure, can we put the astro/unifi TV receiver/DVD player inside the drawer and still able to use remote control on them (while the drawers are closed)? How about Unifi Wifi modem? Will it still able to emit wifi signal to our computers? At first, I’m thinking of getting an IKEA TV cabinet due to tight budget but now started to have second thoughts. On the other hand, anyone has rough estimation of how much will this built in cost (minus the hanging cabinets)? This post has been edited by lowlowc: Mar 1 2012, 06:25 PM

Equipment remote will not work, wifi is ok cause signal can penetrate wood easy maybe loose some strength.
Mine all equipment out on left and right of the tv cabinet, center is power, signal cables, network with cover.
I think custom made have standard price should be rm300 per foot.

Argh.. means I have to reconsider the Ikea PS cabinet. QUOTE(wrb7878 @ Mar 1 2012, 07:34 PM) For this simple cabinet you should able to get from unity kitchen at 150/feet. Hhmm.. time to PM Erny.

Just to share info with everyone.
Placing aircond directly above TV or bed is a very bad idea.
