QUOTE(phoenix69 @ Jan 5 2012, 11:04 PM) I observe generally all TV cabinet are custom made. The main feature is the Board behind the TV. Usually a Flat Screen TV is installed onto the Board. Thus a wall bracket will be attached to the Board and a hole is opened on the Board to allow TV connection cable to be hidden behind the Board. My query is:--- What is the best design/hinges should the board have to allow easy cleaning and access to the board back area?? Any diagram?? Mine is movable TV table with the 6" raised on the end of the table, cable run out from the raised 6", and when i hang my TV on the wall, or put using TV stand you don't see the cables. All my equipments is place on both side, and there is a hidden "tunnel" go to center drawer. So All on/off and adapters are place in the center. Not sure if you got it. Anyway here the previous picture i took. Maybe later when I have time take the latest photos, with the TV and some of the equipments on the side. Added on January 6, 2012, 1:52 pmIs also custom made, using plywood, not melamine. This post has been edited by weikee: Jan 6 2012, 01:52 PM

QUOTE(phoenix69 @ Jan 6 2012, 09:13 PM) I think I get you. Any Feature Wall / Board later? That is the wall, paint suppose to be darker, but come out lighter color. Anyway, what's done is done. So just enjoy the outcome.

QUOTE(webby88 @ Jan 6 2012, 10:40 PM) I have seen in some houses where monster cables are wall embedded and terminated on the wall. Here you can then plug your rear speaker to it. This want is conceal, and is done during renovating time.

Equipment remote will not work, wifi is ok cause signal can penetrate wood easy maybe loose some strength.
Mine all equipment out on left and right of the tv cabinet, center is power, signal cables, network with cover.
I think custom made have standard price should be rm300 per foot.

QUOTE(digir @ Mar 6 2012, 03:36 PM) Just to share info with everyone. Placing aircond directly above TV or bed is a very bad idea. If leak, it till damage your equipment. Bed, not too bed just wash. But do you get efficient cooling area if place above the bed?

Using market rate (I think) custom is about RM 300 per foot run. This was my price last year using plywood.

QUOTE(Escaflowne @ Aug 17 2012, 01:18 AM) Hi all, I need to ask, is it possible to install a TV panel like this ? [attachmentid=3003937] Ignore the material, I didn't put the exact material yet. I'm more concerned on the back panel behind the Flat Panel. The wiring will be concealed behind the wall, then there are blocks of wood/using melamine materiel as the base where the TV would sit on. My installer said it not such a good idea as the it's not strong enough to hold the TV. what is your opinion? Could someone advice as I really would like my panel to look somewhat like this. My 2 cents, the middle wood if is woods, make a gab in between and this gab is the wall, mount the TV bracket to the wall. You need top find a TV bracket that can extend outward, to the thickness of the wood. It will look ugly if the TV is not Install.

QUOTE(sovietmah @ Jun 15 2013, 08:17 PM) I heard that it is incorrect if your wiring pipe goes horizontally from bottom. suppose to be horizontally and vertically from top ceiling. Not sure how true it is. Electrical is top to bottom, water pipe bottom up.
