Any recommendation of confinement lady who is originated from Penang island? Think of finding a local confinement lady, probably she can also be the nanny for the baby in the future.

I have used a lady call Vivian which I got from this company MediGuide Mom. They basicly provide helpers for new mom during confinement.

I was very happy with Vivian as the charge was very reasonable at about 2.5k for 28 days and she provided really good advice to me. Mediguide mom was very helpful as well as they gave me a pack of information regarding food to eat, how to tc of baby and many other useful information. They also told me on what injections my baby would need when growing up and all that. Up to now i get regular emails from them regarding parenting and all that info.

I was very pleased with their service as they were really hands on with the helpers they send. They call you regularly to check if you were ok with the lady and in case you are unhappy they will send u a replacement. Thankfully for me I was very happy with Vivian especially with the amount i paid and the service i got.

With medigiude mom you have the option of part time helpers or full time.I was with a full time helper which is Vivian in the first month. Now that am off confinement I still get one of their lady to come part time from 8am to 4pm to help me out as I actually dont have enough space in my apartment for long stay over.

during confinement with vivian she would prepare meals for me which we agreed on the meals before the start of the confinemet period so we agreed on set of meals for 28 days. usually mixtures of soup and veges.

the good thing i liked about mediguide mom was that they encouraged breastfeeding so when vivian came to me she was very supportive of breastfeeding and the company would actually call and ask if i was breast feeding and they were the days that i felt really frustrated and could not do it as every 2 hours my baby was hungry. but luckily vivian was patient with me and mediguide mom keeps sending me emails on importance of breastfeeding which i thought was encouraging.

As i was breast feeding Vivian would sleep with me and the baby. She would change my baby nappies, bath her, and baby massage every morning. she would wash my clothes and prepare my meals and snacks.

mediguide mom informed me that whenever i can i should hug and kiss my baby alot as that would make my baby recognise who the mom is. I guess its those small advices that I found very useful .

you can try calling mediguide mom 0102322785 and they will ask for basic information such as part time or full time, which area u live, etc. The good thing is they actually have options on ladies that you can choose and u r comfortable with.

Hey I have also used the service of Mediguide i must say they are good. the lady who took care of me her name is Sharon. I could not afford paying chinese aunties for rm 4000 so i took a philipino for 2.3k and i had my doubts initially whether this would be a good choice. But to my surprise Sharon was really good. She knew all traditional chinese herbs, she made chinese tea, soft baby massage and i was extremeley happy with the meals and services she provided.

She was really caring to my baby and me and would bring food to the bed though i told her no need, i felt bad but she insisted for bed rest. Thankfully my confinement went smoothly and i did not have any problem during my confinement and now i use part time lady from mediguide also.

I was breastfeeding but for night i would pump milk to the bottle and Sharon would feed the baby as she wanted me to have a good sleep at night. She insisted on us 3 sleeping in the same room as i can be close to my baby even at night.

And yes i must agree that the breast feeding support from mediguide was really helpfull. I recommended them to few of my friends and so far no complains. I would suggest to try them out as i had a very good experience with them.

Dont ever hire the confinement lady from Kepong with the name Wendy Chong Yoong Tee. She is doing both either confinement lady or full time nanny. Bad experience as a nanny and not only that very disrespectful towards my sister, brother in law, nieces and my mother. She supposed to do the house chores as agreeable but now she only uses her phone whole day. Hogging on Facebook 24/7 and make whole house so dirty. Even the bathroom. She purposely make it slippery with hair conditioner and hair mask when my mom is here. Keep complaining about others and talk on the phone by using house phone. On aircond when no one is in the room. Park her car inside the house porch and my car ended up have to park outside.

Always whack my eldest daughter and left a 5 fingers mark on her arm. When my niece asked her why did she whack my daughter she didnt answer her but instead accused her that she (my niece) shouted at her and she very angry. When i was cleaning my garden or cleaning the bathroom, she stand at the corner and look. Didnt even bother to help. Sometimes even play with her phone or watch tv and not bothered to help out.

so much bad experience about confinement lady. well, i just want to say i've made a right choice choosing nejlika confinement centre at ampang.

i just completed my confinement stay with them, they are charging me RM7k+, this is the promotional price as they just opened early this year.

I would say what i'm paying is very worth it looking at their service provided in the centre, they have professional nurse to take care of mother and baby, their confinement consultant is graduated from Taiwan, they have an infant massage instructor to teach me and my hubby how to massage my baby which i'm still practising now, and i see improvement in my baby whenever she is colic and i massage using the skill learned from them.

they also have a chinese dr who come regularly, which then formulate customized soup for us - which i think it's perfect compared to any pre-packed herbs that is too general.

environment is nice although it's not a bungalow but a shoplot, can see they have spent effort on design their centre.

i've also consider bonda villa and another one in subang before, have no regret choose nejlika finally. to me, bonda villa you are paying high fees because of the so called famous breastfeeding counsellor, anyhow, i get same kind of breastfeeding support in nejlika without having paying such high fees.

btw, nejlika is very supportive in term of breastfeeding too, i attended one of their breastfeeding workshop and it's foc to the public.

auntie sharon 0105368881 very good. likes to share confinement information, not money-minded, trustworthy, very helpful, and has a huge network connection for other good and reliable confinement aunties.

if she's unable to do the confinement for you, she will introduce another good/trusted auntie for you. and although she introduced another to you, but she will still be there to give advice over the phone (if you need) and help you in every way that she could.

she is from seremban, but she can arrange to come over to klang valley by ktm.

Hi everyone,

I hired a CL recently. I appreciate her caring to my wife, son and even me and my family.

She is from Penang. But according to her, she had been to Singapore and Australia. Btw, i am from KL.

We booked her in advance, and call her on the day my wife delivered and she came down the next day.

She take care of my baby and my wife. She cook and do laundry for them as well.

She also did my laundry but maybe because i only stay over the weekends. Anyhow she did help my family to dry their cloth, fold for them as well.

She cook very tasty meal, but only for my wife. Sometime she will ask if i wanted to eat but most of the time i rejected la. She also help my mum cook vineger pork leg and drunken chicken. Her vineger pork leg is somehow the best i have eaten so far.

Her charges is 4.2k. We pay for her transport, bus la of course, and she also helped us bought sesame oil from Penang as well. Somemore she eat very simple. @_@...morning biscuit + kopi, lunch and dinner eat very less, sometime i dunno what she makan la but very fast.

For me she is ok and i will use her again in future. My wife and mum gave her angpow for her service seperately la @_@

Her schedule is quite pack according to her.
