I think to produce bokeh in all cameras is the same.
fast shutter speed, big aperture.
most importantly shallow DOF.

Seems like focused on the hand instead of eyes, btw the D7000 in low light no match for D700/D3/D3s, so it's not a monster, only a puppy  whistling.gif

I found it very hard to capture this guy when he start play with fire.

the color of water changes the metering etc etc etc. which cause it very hard to capture IMO.
eventually I got it like this.

can anyone give some tips to capture this man? Please.

This is because you have no idea how to make wonders out from your kitty lens. Of course I understand f/2.8 lens or bigger aperture lens can have greater bokeh but bokeh is not everything

And creativity doesn't rely on lens. It's in the person behind the camera.

Brooo.. need advice here,,
I am thinking to sell off my nissin di622 + my kit 1855 + wide converter = tamron 1750 (before I grab sigma 50 1.4)
in condition I am having 35mm 1.8

do you think it is a wise decision?
since for me 35mm is quite hard to get the background sharp.
any suggestion??
Later I will sell tamron when I am ready for sigma.

Since you are experienced in sigma (might be tamron as well) you can help me on this decision

Just wondering if anyone is using D3100 here? I've just bought it as my first DSLR and I was very happy with it until the 2nd day of usage. I realize the top left corner of the LCD screen has a yellowish tint (like when you apply pressure on an LCD screen). I went back to the shop to complain about it so the boss took the display unit to check and also have similar problem.

So was wondering is this a manufacturer defect or anyone has any clue on this? I hope I'm not in the wrong threat. Sorry still noob to the photo threats... If I'm in wrong section, please tell me where to refer ya. Thanks.

can you please post some image it will be helpful.

I don't face the same problem.

can you double check it.
I will double check in after I come back from office.

Thanks... Will wait for your replies. If all ok maybe I'll have to check with the shop again. Anyone tried claiming warranty direct from Nikon? I have a feeling the boss would argue saying all his units are the same...

Added on January 10, 2011, 6:01 pm
Well mine is a lil obvious and though it doesn't affect the picture, I feel that if there are good units available, I would prefer to have a good unit too. I may be petty and I know I'm demanding too much for a lower end model.  sweat.gif Truthfully I don't mind if all units comes with this defect. But if only a selected few has defects and mine is 1 of them, then maybe I'd request for warranty ler...
*
go the the boss themselves.
or Nikon in Timesquare if I am not mistaken they will directly replace it with the new unit. if you still under warranty.
you might want to check it yourself. laugh.gif

In case there are still those that don't know what I am trying to explain about technical perfection and a window into the imperfect soul.

I will draw a parallel.

One is an engineering drawing. Perfect, flawless, to the point.

The other is Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso. Utter Madness
To give technical perfection emotion is like giving the Tinman a much needed heart.
...and on the flipside, I doubt giving Dali and Picasso a better brush and canvas will change anything........

just sharing.. especially for those gear mind-ed like me tongue.gif
