QUOTE(ciohbu @ Jan 28 2011, 12:58 PM) @ hvaly, of course blowing on the water, but note that u need to top up water more frequent after that.. lolx.. the water level drop much faster than without fan but my 55w is 2feet,not nice on a 35cm length tank,my origin light just have 2 slot for PL-compact,maybe will change the lightbulb to higher wattage.@ Betta, argh... i am looking to upgrade my lightning too ... yupe..9v will work too, just that won't get optimum rpm / fan speed |

QUOTE(SweetPuff @ Jan 27 2011, 12:41 AM) Something could have frightened the shrimp. Even lights turning on/off will sometimes scare them. Or there could be some sort of change in the water. Tank size: 77cm x 35cm x 30cmAdded on January 27, 2011, 12:41 am Bro, what's your lighting and tank size? Lighting: 24 x 4 T5HO (96W). |

QUOTE(NewbieBetta @ Jan 28 2011, 12:47 PM) get 2 tank separator holder from any LFS and fasten the fan with cable tie and it can be fit nicely on your tank.I reverse the separator so it look nicer from the front. Im using coolermaster 120mm silent fan. The separator cost around RM1~2 leftover from my previous 2feet.The fan range RM20~25 only check out sales thread on computer hardware.Even though the fan rated as 12v DC,i use an unwanted powersupply from my modem rating 9v to power it. So you were the lucky one... ciohbu:I bought the 55w from a forumer in mac,he sold his solenoid tank to me too,I am damn lucky bought it very cheap.. I don't think the stands are sold separately though, but you can try asking the LFS boss to order it for you, or contact advance reef directly which is the distributer for dymax whether you can get the spare part. Added on January 28, 2011, 9:46 pm QUOTE(NewbieBetta @ Jan 28 2011, 01:15 PM) but my 55w is 2feet,not nice on a 35cm length tank,my origin light just have 2 slot for PL-compact,maybe will change the lightbulb to higher wattage. Err... You want to change the lightbulb only or the whole set??? Cause you cannot simply change the lightbulb to higher watts I think, you need to check whether the balast can support it or not...Added on January 28, 2011, 9:54 pm QUOTE(Oxburg @ Jan 28 2011, 01:25 PM) lol norwonder.I also planning do do new one again.I dont know why mine is not bright at all. even it is 83W total now IME it might be because of the light spectrum of the lightbulb, 6000K lights will look a bit less bright and yellowish, while 6500K will look very bright and whitish in color. I compared my T8 lights before, (RM3.50) 6000K with (RM9.90) 6500K and have since bought (RM9.90) 6500K since, I also change the default 55w PLL that comes with the 2ft aquazonic lighting with 6500K 55w PLL I bought from lighting shop for the same reason with the T8. Just my honest opinion... Added on January 28, 2011, 10:03 pm QUOTE(ciohbu @ Jan 28 2011, 01:21 PM) 11w not enough to carpet glosso la... Added on January 28, 2011, 10:26 pmJust to add...
