I have sucefully compiled a cyanogen port for the i5500
Now i have to wait for my device to come back from the repair since i managed to erase the bios by using my recovery
I decided to avoid playing with the recovery and flashing cyanogen directly via ODIN

newbie here.. i've just bought samsung galaxy 5 and i must say its a bang for its bucks.. although it has its flaws but what more can you ask for its function considering the price that you have to pay for it..

i mean to ask about why the thread keeps on locking out and there's several of it on this forum.. i'm so confuse right now..
and what's with this V1 V2 & V3?

if maxis, I just set APN (Name : Maxis Prepaid Broadband) , (APN : bbnet), its work for both way, Maxis 3G and Maxis Prepaid Broadband.

did you use market enabler? If yes you will need to restore the default ones and add the apn setting again.

how to make handcent sms as my default and only sms apps??

i thinks when you want message someone through contact.. a small window popup asking you weather to use message or handcent, tick bottom then choose handcent.

already done that...but when rcvd msg, n choose reply..the built in msg apps pop up...

go to message(default message apps) setting and disable the notification.

u mean notification... ya.. ironman just answer that.

disabled d...but when rcvd msg, still open with default app

uninstall handcent.. then install it back.. when any popup asking when opening msg.. just tick, and choose handcent.. all be ok then.
