The future sounds bright :-

Asia Media will invest in developing the first Digital Live Transit-TV Broadcasting infrastructure in Malaysia. By adopting international broadcasting standard infrastructure, Asia Media is capable of delivering live video & voice into the transportation industry in the country.

Leveraging on its extensive Transit-TV network, which extends to over 3,000 Transit-TVs with Rapid K.L., Causeway Links and Konsortium Transnational Group, Asia Media is positioned to extend its Transit-TV network system into the LRT, Monorail and eventually the MRT. ASIA MEDIA GROUP BERHAD (“AMEDIA”)

Clarification on the article appearing on page A14 of the Nanyang Siang Pau dated 10 March 2011

We refer to the article appearing in the Nanyang Siang Pau dated 10 March 2011, in particular the following sentences:

(i) “AMEDIA plans to invest RM50 million to expand its services into Singapore’s market and expanding its Malaysian’s operations and is expected to achieve a thirty percent (30%) growth in revenue for the financial year ending 31 December 2011; and

(ii) AMEDIA’s founder and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Ricky Wong said : ‘we have obtained the broadcasting licence in Singapore and is expected to enter into a memorandum of understanding in one (1) to two (2) months.’”

We wish to clarify that the Company is currently exploring a potential acquisition of a company based in Singapore which has secured the broadcasting licence in Singapore and expects to enter into a memorandum of understanding or an agreement in one (1) to two (2) months’ time in respect of the potential acquisition. Once the terms of the potential acquisition have been finalised, the Company will make the appropriate announcement to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad in due course.

The Company plans to invest up to RM30 million for the expansion in Singapore in the next two (2) years, which include the purchase consideration for a potential acquisition as mentioned above and the capital expenditures. In addition, the Company plans to invest at least RM20 million to roll out the digital broadcasting in the Klang Valley within a year and out of this amount, RM16 million will be from the proceeds raised from the initial public offering early this year.

On the revenue growth, the Company expects to grow in tandem with the growth of the digital-out-of-home transit media industry in Malaysia. Based on the Independent Market Research Report dated December 2010 as prepared by Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Sdn Bhd (as disclosed in the Company’s prospectus dated 22 December 2010), the year-on-year growth rates from 2010 to 2014 are expected to stabilise to an average of approximately 30%.

This announcement is dated 11 March 2011.

thumbup.gif ASIA MEDIA TO INVEST RM500 MILLION IN TELECOMUNICATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE

rclxms.gif Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Asia Media Group will invest RM500 million in developing the first Digital Live Transit-TV Broadcasting infrastructure in Malaysia. As part of a RM11.2 billion Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) outlined by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Asia Media’s mobile broadcast network on public transportation aims to transform Malaysia into a world-class nation and enhance the country’s competitiveness within the ASEAN region. The project falls squarely within the Communications Content and Infrastructure (CCI) of the National Key Economic Areas (NKEA).

By adopting international broadcasting standard infrastructure, Asia Media will be capable of delivering live video and voice across the transit industry such as the bus network and light rapid transit system (LRT). Leveraging on its extensive Transit-TV network, which extends to over 3,000 Transit-TVs with Rapid K.L., Causeway Links and Konsortium Transnational Group, Asia Media is also positioned to extend its Transit-TV network system into the Light Rail Transit (LRT), Monorail and eventually the Mass Rail Transit (MRT). This project will contribute RM604 million to our Gross National Income and create 400 jobs by 2020. It will entail funding of RM500 million in-line with government objectives and an investment horizon between 5 to 10 years covering the entire Peninsular Malaysia.

To date, the company has invested a total of RM25 million for its Transit TV system and is currently investing another RM25 million for the Klang Valley rollout of Digital Live Transit-TV Broadcasting. The company has provisionally identified seven locations within Klang Valley to deploy the transmission towers: Kuala Lumpur city centre, Damansara, Putrajaya, Subang Jaya, Klang, Serdang and Rawang.

Coverage for other states within Peninsular Malaysia will be rolled out in stages from 2012 onwards.

The scheduled network rollouts for the following states are:

* Klang Valley (Kuala Lumpur Greater Metropolitan Area) by Q2 2011
* Johor Bahru and Penang by 2012/2014
* Perak and Pahang by 2014/2015
* Kedah and Perlis by 2014/2015
* Kelantan and Terengganu by 2015

Asia Media’s Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting is one of seven all-new projects unveiled by the Prime Minister within the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) ̶ raising the total to 12. The 12 projects will bring in over RM11 billion in investments as part of an initiative by the government to propel Malaysia into a high-income economy by 2020. The programme is also aimed at increasing Malaysia’s corporate transparency, accountability and good governance.

Asia Media CEO, Dato’ Ricky Wong was quoted as saying “the company supports the development of a knowledge society through infotainment delivery using mobile broadcasting. The project will elevate the Communications Content and Infrastructure (CCI) of Malaysia.”

The Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) is a focused, inclusive and sustainable initiative aimed at transforming Malaysia into a high-income nation by 2020. It is managed by the Performance and Delivery Unit (PEMANDU), an agency under the Prime Minister Department of Malaysia.

thumbup.gif MORE ON AMEDIA rclxms.gif

thumbup.gif Asia Media TV is the leading out-of-home digital media installed in public transportation targeted at mass public transport users. It is exclusive and the only medium available that is able to reach out to all city dwellers that use the public transports system, ie. Buses.

According to an independent research commissioned by Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS), 70% of the audience is aged between 16 – 34 years old. These prized demographics are highly sought after by the marketers and advertisers as they have the highest purchasing power in the market.

Asia Media TV operates in a captive environment that provides an excellent platform for marketers and advertisers in communicating their products and services to the mass audience. It remains one of the most effective mediums in reaching out to the mass market as audiences are exposed for a considerable amount of time on a daily basis, making it one of the highest recall medium available in the market.

In addition to the above, the medium broadcasts a series of engaging contents from local production to international blockbusters and a series of interactive services to keep viewers engaged.

It also has “proximity to the market” as Asia Media TV operates in the buses that circumnavigate the city. The close proximity to all the retail outlets remain one of the most attractive platforms available to marketers and advertisers as call-for-action type of tactical messages, coupled with a high recall rate, will produce immediate results.

A highly affordable medium. The rule of thumb, with less than 5% of total campaign budget, advertisers and marketers are able to reach-out these prized demographics in the most populated and richest states in Malaysia, ie. Capital Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Johor Bahru.

Asia Media Group To Expand Services To Singapore

flex.gif flex.gif KUALA LUMPUR, March 9 (Bernama) -- Asia Media Group Bhd, a digital
transit-TV company, plans to expand its services to Singapore by year-end,
said its chief executive officer, Datuk Ricky Wong Shee Kai.
"We hope to duplicate our success in Malaysia in Singapore," he told
reporters here Wednesday.
Wong said 80 per cent of Singapore's population used public transport and
demand for the company's services would be good.
"The company plans to invest between RM25 million and RM30 million for
the expansion in Singapore, which is expected to start contributing to the
company's revenue next year," he said.
He said the company was also keen on the Indonesian market as it offered
good opportunities with its large population.
"We are still exploring and studying the market in Jakarta as it is different
compare to Malaysia and Singapore," he said.
Wong said Indonesia was an attractive market with its strong media
industry growth, large population and high dependency on the use of public
transport.
"The company is currently in the midst of finding a partner who can
understand its business model," he said.
He said the company was confident of replicating its business model in the
regional markets given its vast experience and proven track record in
Malaysia.
