Well shows like Best Motoring & Top Gear race stock cars around with, most of the time stock tyres. If real tyres really act like how GT5 made them to be, mostly Comfort Hards, there won't be anymore Top Gear & Best Motoring series. Even though the drivers in the show are pros, the way we drive in GT5 also like pros. QUOTE(amduser @ Jan 9 2011, 09:47 AM) in real life you dont drive that fast and that wild compare to game, you dont rev to red line, we hardly do some high speed cornering in real life comfort tires will not be able to overcome the torque (or whatever the keyword) and result in wheelspin, the effect is more easier to notice during cornering if we press too much on the R2 or X and spin out the car not to mention when you do cornering in-game, you are cornering at the speed that is over or near the limit of the car and tires can handle, in real-life who dare to do this with their beloved >250hp car, unless is in a circuit

Sigh, very angry at PD for removing the restrictions for the Seasonal Events. It was really fun trying to Gold them before, now it's just too easy.. takes away the fun..

The Lotus in Top Gear Race slips & spins like mad without any upgrades and i think they should be stock. Totally undrivable without assist on. QUOTE(zerigemok @ Jan 9 2011, 08:48 PM) You can just do the restrictions yourself Abstinence is the key here But getting the balance is the key. Sure, limit yourself to a stock car with maybe a racing air filter and Sports Hard tires? May end up being too easy or too difficult, then what? Retry? What if you upgraded your car too much by accident? It becomes more frustrating than fun. When there are set restrictions, the satisfaction after completing the challenge is better, especially since you know you did it the same way everyone else did. PD.. I could go on more with my rant but I'm waiting for the Championship race to start

Just enjoy it, after all, its just a game Actually, there are some pretty interesting ideas over at GTP. I'll elaborate more if you guys want after the race. I think the restrictions will be back in the next update actually, maybe PD are just testing the waters?

Just wondering do each of us has an individual online code (the one on left top corner or it's random), if so maybe you guys can play with me.
I prefer settings closer to real life old skool japanese cars so maybe:
1.200-320hp 2.comfort sports -> sport hard
something like that. just for fun.
I know above setting probably not interesting compared to the tournament settings.
