1st of all th 16" tires with RM250 is not that good... the tires that you are saying is entree level only and don be such a cheapo, change to 16" use cheap tires...

sorry to be rude if don hav much budget 15" is nice... smile.gif
normal usage is RM180 but the grip is so so only... especially wet...
the good tires starts after that...
skip Goodyear NCT5, Yokohama A Drive, Yokohama A Drive R1, Dunlop D-01, Bridgestone MY-01, Conti CC-1, Conti CC-5 and some others... those tires is entree level and will give you so so performance during wet, especially MY-01 it is rated B for traction worst others is A only... has a lot of bad experience on NCT5 so skip that too
Traction is tested for the tires during wet braking, the shorter it does the better rating it is... the rating started from C, then B, so on to A and highest is AA...
try Hankook V12 it is the best value tires so far in the 15" performance range... then others like Michelin PS3, Toyo T1R, Toyo DRB, Goodyear GSD3, Yokohama S Drive, Bridgestone RE001 or Federal 595 Evo will cost you around RM250/tire...  these is those traction rated at AA...
then you have comfort premium range, although these tires did not perform up to performance range but still ok la... Yokohama C Drive, Michelin Primacy LC, Bridgestone ER series, Conti CPC series and CSC series...
so up to you to decide... u must put your budget in then choose what you want... Comfort, Handling and Noise... these 3 are the main things on the tires, if helps you to decide which to get...

BTW once you use higher range of tires and get the feel... you will never turn back... it gives you more safety and also the grip you has during wet is totally different from the normal tires...

that is ok ok... on the premium tires range but not as good as performance... smile.gif

it will not hit ur fender if your rims offset is corrent... but as i said... stick to 15" if you are not prepare to pay more than RM250 per tires for a good tire...

205/45R16
Comfort Range -
Yokohama C-Drive (Philippines) - RM245 Hin Leong, Klang (Jun 10)
Yokohama A.Drive R1 - RM230 (Tek Ming Sunway) [trade in old tyre) Nov-10
Dunlop LM701 - RM235 (PJT Pusat Bandar Puchong) Nov-10

Performance Range -
Bridgestone RE001 (Japan) - RM350 Jooi Seng, Klang (Oct 10) - Added 6/10/10
Hankook V12 Evo - RM 300 TMK II (Feb 10)
Toyo T1R - RM355 TMK II (FEB 10)
Hankook Ventus V8RS - RM230 (Tek Ming Sunway) [trade in odl tyre) Nov-10
Hankook Ventus V12 evo - RM250 (Tek Ming Sunway) [trade in old tyre) Nov-10
Yokohama S.Drive (japan) - RM360 (Tek Ming Sunway) [trade in old tyre) Nov-10

the price list is copied from the AutoWorld forum...
from there u can see even decent (for me la...) Hankook V8RS (older model) cost you more than RM250 without trade in... V12 should be around RM280 without trade in...
if you are not prepare to pay for that pls use 15"...
if you use a comfort tire compare with performance tire it will give you different feel... and of course it will slightly improves your car's handling although not much but u can feel it...
used NCT5 (stock), Hankook V12 and now PS3 on the same car (no mod at all)... it's perform different on different tires...

try Falken 912 for comfort... Hankook V12 although it is in performance series but also not bad...
then C Drive or Dunlop D-01 is ur next choice...

most of the performance tire is not good in comfort...

ur size correct replacement should be 195/50 R15... but 195/55 R15 still can use...

the thing is wit 15" is that it looks puny on myvi, 16" fills it better, although imho 17" looks the best on a myvi.. but then, 15" seems 2 be the best choice 4 a myvi sad.gif

honestly yes... 16" is a bit over lo... lowered the ride a lil then put in 15" looks nice... even i saw a few maintain 14" but changed rims and lowered the ride... looks nice also...
it is just personal preferences... for me i'll try to maintain my ride on 15" tires...

Just go outside and find, so many Myvi's running around. If you care so much about comfort, go for 15", and the tyres are cheaper as well. 1" won't make so much of a difference. You can use the money saved to do something about your suspension etc. smile.gif

Its not about the size, for me its more about the design. Some small rims can really complement the car, while other "huge" 18" rims messes with the car's balance and image. No offence, but when you look at the Myvi, you will see that the fender distance from the bonnet is quite huge. No matter how big of a rim you use, the car still looks some sort of like a potato. For better effect, I think lowering the car will enhance the sportiness more.

It will still roll around without better suspension....if you want comfort, 15" rim is better cause with 16-17" rims you have to use lower profile tyres. For comfort, why not you invest the extra money for sound proofing or chassis stiffening (autofoam etc).
