actually, there's a way around it.. but i wouldnt want to promote Piracy in here... so pandai pandai la...
one thing I like about SPB is the 3D spinning carousel concept..
other than that, its function just the same as any other home launcher out there...
i dont like the dock though...its kinda small...
and the SMS widget looks familiar... Timescape rings a bell??

in xrec screen, if u choose Install custom zip files and navigate to the folder where it resides, it shouldnt be an issue...
maybe ur downloaded zip file is corrupted?

or did u choose to install "update.zip" once u get to xrec screen?

mainly it is same like Trip's Miui if you have applied cobrato's fixes.

however, it is also based on a newer MiUI base rom so certain base rom problem such as setting password for lockscreen causes boot loop is gone.

apart from that, more animation for screen transition.

if you guys trying out this rom and uses email app (not gmail) , u gotta replace it with the email.apk from Trip's MiUI rom. The one that comes with this rom FC alot.

yeah same same, Trip custom kernel is not ready yet, he is still preparing it .. the custom kernel for Tripnmiui is from Z, Trip tweak his rom to run with Z's kernel.

so far there are 2 custom kernel running around

1) Z's = uncapped fps
- issues, no gps and app2sd
2) J's = overclock to 1.1 and undervolt
- issues, no wifi, bluetooth and something else .. kennot remember

it will behave the same across any 2.2 roms if you choose to use these kernel

tempted do try the Cobrato's version of MIUI, but afraid that it wont get frequent updates later..
although no boot loop with security pin and such, i'll hav to pass this one and stick to TripnMIUI...

yeah bro, i'm testing it since morning. Really not much to gain from this rom apart from a working lockscreen shortcut and working password settings. Oh and fancy screen transition haha

however, most of the themes will have problem with this MiUI version for the lockscreen and the folders. The lockscreen is the same as Trip's v0.32. Apart from that, camera hw button somehow is mapped wrongly, it become a search button now LOL

Most likely i will switch back to Trip's v1.0.4 later.

Added on April 15, 2011, 11:13 pmHey I might want to create the V2 thread if FallenOut don't mind? Might as well add my "guide" on rooting and flashing firmware using flashtool.

I'm never a fan of Timescape or Mediascape...so I won't really miss it..so far my recent favorite launchers are SPB Shell and Go Launcher.....
