if your concern is mainly on camera and picture quality, i think you should keep your x10 mini and buy a real digital camera instead.. quality guaranteed.. =)

If u don hav launcherpro, Gallery 3d is also available in the market.. Do a search using x10 as a searchstring

even before i knew all this different Android version, cpu spec, ROM and what not, i like X10 better than the rest because of it sleek design..
huge screen, chrome on black and its squarish.... all the flaws fter that will become tolerable...

in my opinion, even if a certain phone has better spec, if the design still doesnt appeal to my eyes..i wouldnt be fully satisfied owning one..

i've set my favorit in contact, synch with FB profile pics...
but still, no pic when i add the LP People Widget...

or does this LP widget refer to the phone contact profile pic? which make sense cos its empty...

btw, u sure the wifi connection show connected in the list of available connections?
first time always have to select the connection manually, even the wifi doest require password... after that, it will auto connect...

this happen to my wife last time. she just turn one the wifi using the widget, but didnt actually select which wifi to connect to... thus no connection...

figure it out already.. i need to manually add picture to phone contact..
all this while, my contact are showing FB profile pic, but phone contact is empty...thats why it didnt show up in LP widget...

the VS debate is very subjective la... only the real buyer can decide which phone is best to his liking, need and budget...

for example, Nexus one.. wahhh. great spec... multitouch ..Froyo...trackball etc... can play hi-end games some more...
but still i choose X10 becos i like the design and the price is not so ridiculous...in my eye, Nexus looks like grandfather phone running windows ce... design not so nice... and i only play Angry bird.. do i really need multi-touch that bad??? even if i do, i still have my Xbox..hehehe

i was contemplating between mini pro (due to its slide out qwerty keyboard and size) and X10...
but i chose x10 becos it is thinner.. easy to slide into my jeans..not so bulky...
and of cos, the huge screen size...

but if budget really is a concern, then x10 mini pro would suffice... it has all the important feature that x10 has, minus the size and internal memory...

can try free wifi in cafe ma.. Starbuck.. coffee bean.. etc...
if all cannot, then it must be the phone, or need to re-flash .. can do this on your own using usb cable....

u used to have 3 homescreens, but now i have 7 of them and the battery life last just as long..

main culprit for battery usage is dataplan (whatsapp, FB)
moving between area with 3g and 2g will drain more battery..ur phone will always scan for a 3g service, which will use battery alot..
its advisable to use 2G all the time and switch to 3G manually only if you need them.. make use of the switch widget turn on ur 3g...
or maybe change ur FB update interval to 30min or so... even better, do it manually....

i think 8-10hours of continuos data traffic is normal la.. for all smartphones... not only X10...

ok.. turn off ur 3g under Settings - Wireless & Network Settings - Mobile network - Turn off Data traffic (this will make use wifi only)

then go to Settings- Account and Sync - turn on background Data (this will enable market browsing

then go to wifi setting..make sure ur connected...

even after reflash, still cannot?
2 wifi still cannot?
if free wifi outside also cannot, then bring back to supplier and ask them to test themselves...or get to test another x10 in their shop to prove its faulty...

still cannot? try asking for a 1 to 1 exchange... they can always return the faulty phone to their supplier ma.. win win situation...

once a week, i do a full battery drain (0%) til the phone shuts down by itself, then i charge my phone without switching it on, my battery last much longer after that... the charging time is even longer than charging it during standby mode

as of now, even after 7 hours of standby, my phone still at 100% battery power...
but if i do a normal charges while the phone is standby mode, power will drop to around 95% after 7 hours of standby... both tested at minimum usage, no data traffic, wifi, call or sms....

so i guess it does make a different after all...

holding back? well, its your personal choice.. cant say much..
it happen to only 1 of ur friend, but not others... me n my wife own an X10, so far no issues with wifi..

cool.. how much is it?
i saw once in lowyat plaza that an external power bank would go around rm100-150..
most of it is cylindrical in shape with aluminium casing... but yours looks like an external drive...
